Job Description

The VP of Client Engagement will play a pivotal role in driving client success by designing and implementing strategic initiatives that enhance customer acquisition and retention for our clients.

This role will lead the day-to-day operations of consulting projects, manage workstreams, and ensure that deliverables meet the high standards expected by our team and client. This involves fostering client relationships, breaking down complex business challenges into manageable components, developing actionable insights, and seeing these into practical recommendations and successful delivery.

This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte headquarters four days per week and work fully remotely on Fridays.

What You'll Do:

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, managing the relationship with clear communication, positive momentum, and a spirit of true partnership, ensuring client satisfaction and driving profitable growth
  • Understand client needs and objectives to deliver tailored solutions that drive customer acquisition and retention
  • Develop and own the strategy through execution including cross functional collaboration

Execution of Existing Scope of Work:

  • Oversee all aspects of delivery and performance, including planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Coordinate with internal teams and clients to manage resources, timelines, and expectations effectively
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure the success of customer acquisition and retention initiatives
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate project outcomes and insights to clients and stakeholders

Planning, selling and execution of continued partnership growth

  • Utilizing client and market data, lead the development of net new comprehensive strategies to enhance customer acquisition and retention, implementing data-driven insights and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement customized solutions that align with client goals
  • Collaborate with leadership on the economic model of any net new scopes of work
  • Facilitate the transition from strategy development to implementation, ensuring alignment between project objectives and operational capabilities

Market Expertise: 

  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay up to date on trends, opportunities, and competitive threats
  • Utilize this expertise to advise both Red Ventures and clients on forward-looking investments

Team Leadership and Development: 

  • Lead and mentor a team of analysts, product managers, engineers, and designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting professional growth and development

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in consulting, implementation and strategic planning
  • Proven track record of successful client engagements focused on customer acquisition, retention and expansion; meeting or exceeding business development goals
  • Business operations experience owning outcomes of client relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies. Preference for technical skills or experience leading technical teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong client relationships and communicating complex solutions to executive teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing teams.

Benefits

Compensation Range: $220,000 - $300,000 + potential equity

*Note actual salary is based on qualifications, and experience.
