As the Web Development Operations Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading our website development team, collaborating closely with the Marketing team and other key stakeholders. You will oversee the planning, execution, and optimisation of transactional websites projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and delivering exceptional user experiences. This role requires strong website development knowledge, project management skills, strategic thinking and the ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams while supporting the Director of Web Development.

Your Tasks

  • Plan, coordinate, and support the flow of projects for transactional websites. Work closely with the Marketing team and other stakeholders to define project goals, success metrics, and required activities. Oversee project execution to ensure successful delivery.

  • Act as a sparring partner for web developers to challenge or propose new technical solutions and enable them to further improve code quality, lower technical debt and stay up to date with latest technologies in website development

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project communication, keeping relevant Marketing and company-wide stakeholders informed of project progress, challenges, and milestones.

  • Manage resources workload.

  • Support the web development team in designing and optimizing processes to ensure optimal prioritization of requirements and tasks.

  • Identify challenges and opportunities for improvement throughout the development processes and contribute by implementing best practices and innovative web solutions.

  • Give and solicit feedback from the broader web development and marketing teams to continually raise the bar for quality and user experience.

  • Handle the complexities of a diverse ecosystem, understanding both B2B and B2C dynamics to effectively lead website projects.

  • Lead partnerships with developers, marketers, product managers, and sales teams to oversee the user experience of websites or features from conception to launch. Ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

  • Assist the Director of Web Development in various tasks, including project planning, resource allocation, and team coordination.

You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • 4+ years of experience in a web development team leading position

  • 4+ years of experience in WordPress or other CMS websites development

  • Any project management certification or proven experience in web development project management or related roles.

  • Strong understanding of web technologies, development methodologies, and digital marketing strategies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in e-commerce or digital services industry.

  • Leadership qualities, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams towards shared goals.

  • Previous experience in web editing, web development, and quality assurance would be beneficial.
