As a Web Engineering Lead, you will own the technical direction and development of our public web properties (Tulip.co, Library.tulip.co, and related assets). You will lead a small engineering group, work cross-functionally with product, design, marketing, and engineering, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our web stack and AWS-based infrastructure.

What Skills Do I Need?

  • 8-10+ years of full stack development experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role managing mid to senior level engineers
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 (SASS/LESS), JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Expertise with React and frameworks such as Next.js or Remix.js
  • Experience with Craft CMS, Payload CMS, or other headless CMS solutions
  • Backend experience with Node.js and PHP
  • Familiarity with REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, and IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation)
  • Experience with Git, modern build tools (Webpack, Vite), and cross-functional collaboration

  • PostgreSQL, MongoDB
  • SSO/SAML knowledge
  • Airflow, dbt, or related data tooling
Key Responsibilities
  • Design the architecture, and lead the technical roadmap for Tulip’s public web properties
  • Manage a team of developers, conduct code reviews, and maintain high engineering standards
  • Ensure the development of high-quality, reusable, and accessible web components using React and modern frameworks
  • Integrate and maintain headless CMS platforms (Craft, Payload) and APIs
  • Build and maintain AWS-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring
  • Ensure performance, SEO, accessibility (WCAG), and security best practices
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Marketing teams to deliver high-impact web experiences
