Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started. Facebook is seeking an ASIC Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join our Infrastructure organization. Our servers and data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates and upon which our innovative services are delivered. By holding this role, this intern will be an integral member of an ASIC team to build accelerators for some of our top workloads enabling our data centers to scale efficiently. You will have an opportunity to participate in architecture and design of accelerators using the state of the art tools. Come work and learn alongside our expert ASIC engineers to build “Green” data center accelerators. <ul><li>Analyze the latest Machine Learning workloads</li><li>Study the current inferencing ASIC architecture and performance for the workloads and propose potential design alternatives and enhancements</li><li>Implement and analyze enhanced architecture models</li><li>Present new architectural proposals coherently to architects and designers</li></ul> <ul><li>Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related areas</li><li>Knowledge of Computer Architecture concepts such as processor architecture, memory subsystem hierarchy and on-chip interconnection networks</li><li>Programming skills in C, C++ or related Object Oriented Programming</li><li>Experience with training and AI models</li><li>Creativity and problem solving capabilities</li><li>Communication and analytical skills</li><li>Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment</li></ul> <ul><li>Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related areas</li><li>Experience and knowledge of specialized machine learning accelerators and workloads is desirable</li><li>Experience with High Performance Computing</li><li>Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op</li></ul> Facebook is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
