The Fleet Solutions Team at TWAICE helps players along the vehicle supply chain – suppliers, OEMs, Fleet Operators – to master challenges coming along with the roll-out and operation of electric vehicles. Our SaaS products uncover previously unavailable information which permits our clients to gain actionable insights into the single most valuable component inside an electric vehicle: the battery.  To keep innovating our products by distilling the most valuable insights out of the available data, we are looking for a Data Scientist to join the team. In this role, you will be working at the forefront of product development. In close feedback loops with clients, you will be discovering and developing new product solutions. We want you to dive deep into both clients’ challenges and the solution space. Leverage your skills in data wrangling, analytical- and machine learning modeling, as well as your curiosity and creativity.  Team members with backgrounds in Data Science, Machine Learning, Battery Engineering and Software (Cloud, Backend and Frontend) engineering will be your daily sparring partners. Together with your team, you will work on our core technology; an in-life battery analytics stack which distills key values out of battery raw data. You can fully leverage this stack and any additional data pools you need to be successful. Back-End Engineering team members will help you to access these. 

Are you a battery engineer with strong interest in evolving into data analytics or the other way round: a data scientist with strong interest in evolving into battery technology? With us, there is more than one way to get involved and we offer a steady learning curve. 

• Conceptualize and prototype algorithms, using analytical- and machine-learning methods to extract new insights from raw battery data 

• Drive promising solution ideas and prototypes through the full agile development process; from Discovery to Delivery of scalable data and software products 

• Engage with clients in a data-driven way: Develop solutions to address their challenges by leveraging suitable data pools 

• Work closely with Product Management, UX Design and Engineering to continuously analyze solution space and impact of ongoing development initiatives and innovative ideas  

• M. Sc. in Physics, Engineering, or a related field 

• 4+ years experience as data scientist in a data-driven business environment (or Ph.D.) 

• Proficiency in Python3, using standard ML and data analysis packages, including pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch or Tensorflow/Keras 

• Conceptual understanding of algorithms, particularly in the context of time series analysis 

• Great communicator with excellent presentation skills, able to describe complex topics to non-experts 

• Highly motivated team-player who is self-organized  

• Experience in a data-heavy industry domain (Automotive, Energy, Aerospace, or similar) is a plus 

• Experience in the Battery Domain is a plus 

• Experience in Big Data frameworks such as Spark is a plus
