The teamThe U.K. & Ireland is our domestic and most mature market. Teams include commercial, operations, marketing and strategy, and teams in the UK&I partner with global departments such as product, technology and consumer. The Packaging and Partnerships team sits within the Sales organisation and is responsible for the E2E development and management of the key programmes and propositions that will drive restaurant partner loyalty. As it stands this includes propositions such as the Olleco partnership, the Bestway partnership and the Packaging proposition, all currently in their infancy this team has a huge opportunity to grow a scale in the next 12-24m.   About the roleThe Packaging Manager leads a team of two, one ecom specialist, one EU specialist and is responsible for the development and execution of the overall packaging strategy as well as the leadership of the team. The role requires someone who has a strong commercial background and the ability to influence others effectively. You will be responsible for the end to end management of the packaging programme which will include managing the relationship and contract with our packaging partner, Biopak, as well as scaling the proposition with our sales team and restaurant partners. We see this as a high growth proposition, with an ambition to grow the business x5 in 2024, so it’s a really exciting time to join the team!What you'll be doing
  • As Manager of Packaging you will be responsible for the development and roll out of the packaging proposition globally - with a key focus on the growth of the UKI business and the set up of the EU business.
  • You will have ultimate accountability for the packaging P&L in the UKI and EU, both online and offline. As part of delivering this you will need to build stretching, forward looking plans which target key restaurant partners and create a pipeline of opportunities for continuous growth.
  • You will own the relationship with our packaging partner, Biopak, working to develop a scalable business which is both commercially advantageous for Deliveroo and a valued asset for our restaurant partners.
  • You will lead the GTM, engaging and inspiring our sales teams to sell this proposition with passion.
  • You will work cross functionally to build strong plans which enable a step change in scale and value perception within the business.
  • WIthin the EU you will support the development of the EU proposition.
  • You will lead the team, developing them as individuals and creating a team culture to be proud of.
  • You will ensure our packaging proposition is best in class vs our competition with the right range at the right price, delivering through the right partner.
