Role Description
The ServiceNow Architect’s role is to work with the Head of Service Now in the development of our ServiceNow offerings. This role will be responsible for understanding the future vision of our clients and translating this into technology solutions for implementation, ensuring technologies are procured once but utilised many times. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to bring market insights and industry best practice to shape and deliver solutions for the client, bringing with them a creative vision for improvement.
Working closely with the Partner and the lead of the practice the role will oversee the appropriate strategy and technologies to successfully realise our customers business vision, managing and evolving this over the lifetime of a client contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of our projects and programmes and will manage successful client relationships through the delivery of small, medium and large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
- To translate Business Technology and Products Strategy into solutions for our clients
- Solution and/or Technical Architect experience working across ServiceNow ecosystem.
- Lead the solution architecture definition for ServiceNow implementation projects and programmes.
- Review architecture deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and requirement traceability.
- Own and define architectural direction and support to the programme teams.
- Lead on the delivery of the architecture and vision for the customer and ensure best practice and quality assurance.
- Design and support ServiceNow Platform Governance and Centre of Excellence and Innovation (CoE)
- Lead on building methodologies and sharing knowledge across the business
- Be considered a go-to person for the core ServiceNow products
- Mentoring of other team members in ServiceNow configuration, implementation methodology and best practice
- Demonstrate broad and high-level technical knowledge of product and competitive approaches
- Augment the company’s body of knowledge by ownership and validation of best practice collateral generated by self and others in the form of technical papers or presentations to colleagues and contributing to community-based media
- Formulate and sequence ServiceNow architecture, roadmap activities in line with business strategy
- Contribute to sales efforts, support client proposals and presentations
- Shape and deliver proof-of-concepts (PoC) and demo’s where required to gain client buy-in
- ServiceNow technical excellence – Maintains expertise and certification across multiple products/capabilities
- Maintain general architectural knowledge across all other ServiceNow products
- Has extensive experience of ServiceNow releases and Best Practice
- Able to articulate value, risk and counsel conversations at senior stakeholder-level (C-level, Enterprise Architect, Program Director)
- Extensive and large-scale global digital/service transformation experience
- Strong Pre-sales experience,
- Supporting with the identification and hiring of talent.
- Line management responsibility technical delivery teams, including Developers and Junior Developers.
Role Objectives
The role holder will have ongoing objectives alongside other specific objectives that will be set from time to time.
- In depth knowledge of own technical domain, industry knowledge, trends and best practices relating to ServiceNow
- Support and assist in winning new clients.
- Responsible for managing the relationships with client architectural and engineering teams across a project or workstream
- Design, shape and deliver end-end solutions
- Customer road-mapping
- Ensure personal billability/business development utilisation is maintained at or above the agreed level with proactive intervention to reduce bench time.

- Able to articulate value, risk and counsel conversations at senior stakeholder-level (C-level, Enterprise Architect, Program Director)
- Lead solution architecture discussions on ServiceNow
- Lead solution design and estimation (e.g. identifying required resources, products, effort)
- Lead the continuous improvement of our technical capability and service offerings based on customer experiences

Delivery experience
4 years leading the creation, iteration, and maintenance of enterprise architectures which typically involves the interpretation of business goals and drivers; the translation of business strategy and objectives into an operating model; the strategic assessment of current capabilities; the identification of required changes in capabilities; and the description of inter-relationships between people, organisation, service, process, data, information, technology and the external environment.
4 years’ experience in service now and service management; building scalable and extensible platforms using services and micro-services
Knowledge of:
· Agile/Scrum, ServiceNow Now Create, and project delivery practices
· Extensive and large-scale global digital/service transformation experience
· Strong Pre-sales experience, ITSM experience would be advantageous (Tool or business process).
· Exhibits prior and current technical expertise in web technology and the ability to learn new technology.
· Understanding of and experience selling to enterprise IT architecture.
· Experience in Enterprise Service Management (IT, HR, Middle/Back office etc)
6 years leading the creation, iteration, and maintenance of enterprise architectures which typically involves the interpretation of business goals and drivers; the translation of business strategy and objectives into an operating model; the strategic assessment of current capabilities; the identification of required changes in capabilities; and the description of inter-relationships between people, organisation, service, process, data, information, technology and the external environment.

Extensive knowledge of, but not limited to:

· Certified Master Architect (CMA) desirable
· Strong Pre-sales experience, ITSM experience would be advantageous (Tool or business process).

· ITIL v3/v4 and TOGAF certifications
