THE ROLE
We are looking for a Data Management Analyst under Pure Storage’s Data & Analytics department. The team is responsible for Customer Master Data quality & alignment to policies around cleansing rules & system-of-record.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Works with the Data Strategy & Gov team & stakeholders to define, document, & harmonize data quality rules, policies, approval processes, critical metrics, availability rules, & exception reports & implement control plans to ensure data remains clean
- Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) on the master data sources & processes of how data is extracted, organized, processed, & prepared for consumption in the organization
- Implement tools & technologies to support capabilities (e.g., Reltio, Informatica, Collibra, Workflow); use automation where possible to cleanse, organize, & aggregate master data in structured formats
- Lead the monitoring of data flows, platforms, & processes to ensure that they are running well from collection, & integration, to processing.
- Perform proactive master data validation & evaluation & corrective/evolutive maintenance of all the data operations processes involved in the processing of master data. inc. periodic audits
- Recommends consistent business naming standards for use across the organization; provides support in developing data definitions, standard calculations, & business rules.
- Conducts internal & external research/scan to enrich & validate master data with required attributes
- Map data sources, & keep records for the team, & governance, mostly adding to the data catalog & dictionary whenever we create something new
- Document master data operations & monitoring processes in clear & concise guides/manuals
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bengaluru office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business (Business. Marketing, Economics) & Engineering. Advanced Degree in Business & Engineering (e.g., MBA, MA/MS, PhD) is a plus.
- Min 4+ years of solid experience & working knowledge of MDM tool suites including configuration (Reltio a plus) is
- Min 2 years of solid experience with demonstration of success in managing enterprise-wide & cross-functional, complex projects & teams.
- Working knowledge in Salesforce, Clari, Anaplan, SAP, Java, & a keen understanding of data models & data warehouse concepts.
- Ability to work independently with mature decision-making skills as demonstrated by previous successes in leading & managing technology projects that often have an enterprise-wide scope & may have significant cost & time-to-market impacts.
- Strong process orientation, organizational, & planning skills - Planning & prioritizing work to manage time & resources effectively & accomplish assigned tasks
- Solid critical thinking/analytical & problem-solving skills - Applying critical thinking & resourcefulness to understand problems & generate solutions
- Excellent verbal, written, & presentation skills, & ability to effectively communicate technical & business issues & solutions across multiple organizational levels.
