We are looking for a Collections Team Lead to play an integral part in scaling Toast’s rapidly growing business. This person will be the go-to leader for the daily op collections team. You will join a growing Collections team that partners closely with Accounting and other stakeholders to manage key Collections functions. This person will work on key drivers for our financials, ensuring high standards of a publicly owned company. 

This role will provide a strong opportunity to demonstrate leadership skills in building and motivating a high performing team, and managing with metrics. You will be required to support various levels of the team problem solve, as well as act as an escalation point.   • Key Responsibilities

    • Need to manage a team of 5 – 10.
    • Be on TOP of day-to-day escalations.
    • Manage the ME close activities which are specific to AM role.
    • Ad hoc projects as necessary.
    • Review customer accounts to proactively communicate with customers and internal partners to ensure collection of all outstanding invoice totals
    • Review, investigate, and resolve a steady volume of daily inbound cases
    • Respond to customer account inquiries and follow through to resolution in a timely manner
    • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customers and their internal contacts are aware of outstanding balances
    • Post customer payments, refunds, and deposits by recording ACH and credit card transactions
    • Provide weekly reporting related to past due accounts and give recommendations for resolution
    • Work closely with Care and Accounting teams to identify customer trends and behaviours
    • Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement efficiencies in the collections process
    • Consistently meet strict deadlines related to month-end close. 

 

Special Sauce* (Nice to Haves)

  • Prior experience with Netsuite, SalesForce, of other similar SaaS- based ERP and CRM systems
  • Account experience a plus
