Job Description

We are seeking a Jr. Data Scientist (f/m/x) to join our cross-functional team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing groundbreaking solutions that solve real-world problems. You will work alongside a team of experts who are committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible and driving innovation forward. If you're a go-getter who's not afraid to think outside the box, we want to hear from you. You'll be a key driver of our culture, helping to ensure that our values are embedded in everything we do. 

As it is an agile and cross-functional team, there will often be the need to help develop the whole system. You will have the opportunity to learn about the full-stack of software development, as you work to push your insights into the hands of the clients.

 

Your Impact

• Ensure consistency and the quality of raw data sets
• Write interfaces to other systems for data gathering and data acquisition
• Assist with the automation of the data cleaning and data pruning processes
• Provide quantitative research, modelling, analysis and support for identifying business opportunities/issues and form hypotheses
• Synthesise findings, prepare presentations and assist in presenting findings to all levels of management
• Identify, automate and visualise metrics to measure the performance of data models
• Supporting the creation of web-based applications as well as models and analytics

 

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have

• A degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• Hands-on experience with data analysis, statistical, and visualization packages
• Proficiency in SQL and Python
• Ability to understand and deliver in a complex and rapidly evolving data and product environment
• Demonstrated examples of working with business partners to deliver a solution that meets project objectives (requirements generation, functional specification generation to project execution)
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of machine learning
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal, presentation and written)
• Eagerness to learn software engineering and data engineering skills, to enhance your core data science skills

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Frontend frameworks like React
• Experience with signal processing
