Personio is experiencing rapid growth, and with it comes an increased need for data to inform our Revenue and Success (R&S) department’s strategies.

As a Data Scientist supporting R&S, you’ll play a vital role in uncovering actionable insights that drive our mission forward. You excel at analyzing data to understand the why behind trends and uncovering causal relationships that shape strategic decisions. By leveraging your expertise in statistics, machine learning, and data, you’ll create impactful data products that solve real-world challenges.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Measurement: Focus on identifying and tracking the right metrics to distinguish meaningful signals from noise, providing clearer insights for impactful decisions.
  • Data Products Ownership: Take full ownership of data products, from ideation through production, with a commitment to continuous improvement rather than delivering one-off models.
  • strong>Team Collaboration and Tooling: Enhance the data science team’s effectiveness by improving tools, infrastructure, A/B testing frameworks, and model deployment capabilities.
  • Data Enrichment: Lead the collection and integration of new data sources in alignment with the Data department’s strategic goals, enhancing insight quality and model performance.
  • Advanced Analytics: Leverage statistical and machine learning methods to produce actionable insights that directly drive strategic business decisions.
  • Clear Communication: Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across the organization.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • A university degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience working with data to solve business challenges and collaborating with stakeholders
  • Proven ability to use statistical analysis and causal inference to drive evidence-based decisions
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to distill company strategy, team goals, and specific needs into an actionable strategy and execution plan
  • Proficiency in experimentation, statistical inference, prediction models, and probabilistic reasoning
  • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Scala or R)
  • Prior experience with MLOps is a plus
