The NOC team manages the monitoring of vulnerability scanning, ongoing security audits and compliance that assist in the process of satisfying all the PCI DSS requirements. As a NOC Engineer I, you will be responsible for monitoring our end clients’ network to ensure compliance. 

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Responsible for remote monitoring of critical customer network infrastructure, analyzing alerts and troubleshooting incidents.
  • Provide Tier 1 Networking support to meet PCI Compliance requirements.
  • Escalate alerts as needed that require higher level support.
  • Perform incident resolution tasks based on approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Respond to and resolve automated alerts generated from our monitoring system in a timely fashion.
  • Exercise ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge. Strives for constant improvement and development.
  • Resolves network issues detected by monitoring using data from monitoring/troubleshooting tools and provides detailed notes on triage efforts for incidents.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • Network management experience of 1-3 years’ is required
  • Experience working with network monitoring systems supporting incident response and system health.
  • Excellent listening and communications skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Strong customer service skills. 
  • Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to provide and maintain detailed documentation in each ticket.
  • Knowledge in basic networking configurations and routing protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with entry level troubleshooting of Cisco Meraki/Ubiquiti Unifi or equivalent routers/WLAN devices.
  • Familiarity with GSuite, Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, Slack, Splunk a plus.
  • CompTIA Network+ certification obtained within 1yr of onboarding.

Special Sauce* (Nonessential Skills/Nice to Haves)

  • Understanding of security concepts and technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, malware outbreaks, network intrusions and unauthorized access attempts.
  • Experience with AWS, Rapid7, Recorded Future, CrowdStrike (EDR), Jamf or Microsoft Intune.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems such as Windows, macOS and Linux.
