About Scale Space
Scale Space is an exciting joint venture between Imperial College London (a global top 10 University) and Blenheim Chalcot (the UK’s leading digital venture builder). Scale Space is a scaleup community, providing access to the people, services and space businesses need to succeed.
Scale Space provides bespoke laboratory and office space to support the R&D and commercialisation activities of knowledge-intensive companies. It provides a home for businesses to scale alongside Imperial's world-leading academics, allowing entrepreneurs and researchers to share ideas and turn scientific discoveries into new products and services.
The Pioneer Programme
This role is part of the BC Pioneer Programme; a portfolio-wide community and learning & development programme built exclusively for the future leaders of our ventures and scale-ups. You will have a tangible impact on a business going through a phase of market expansion.
Alongside your role, you will undertake a 15-month RedTeam L&D programme, giving you access to learning materials, training, and experts to help you set up your own career adventure. This approach is at the heart of the Pioneer programme vision, and both Scale Space and the RedTeam are committed to working with you to help you excel.
Duties

Identify, establish, and build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders (Imperial College, Blenheim Chalcot) and relevant external organisations.

Work with the Scale Space team to deliver and support a series of regular, meaningful events for members, focusing on innovation, collaboration, and networking.

Support members by connecting them with key contacts within Imperial College, Blenheim Chalcot, and other partners to address their business needs and scaling challenges.

Proactively identify opportunities to drive member engagement and satisfaction through events, communications, and new initiatives, while rolling up your sleeves to get things done.

Represent Scale Space externally to potential members, partners, and the wider innovation ecosystem.

Take part in the Pioneer Programme's informal learning and networking events across the Blenheim Chalcot portfolio.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Minimum 2 years' work experience.
-
Minimum 2.1 undergraduate degree (in any discipline).

A passion for technology and disruption, with experience in or ambitions to build your own venture in the future.

A genuine curiosity for R&D companies, from life sciences and engineering to digital ventures.

An outgoing, friendly, proactive, and approachable personality.

Emotional intelligence and be compassionate and supportive in nature.

Evidence of the ability to be a self-starter and adapt to multiple roles in a high-pace environment.

A passion for building your network and the capacity to work well with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, including university partners and C-suite executives.

The Process
We have a rigorous recruitment process to ensure we attract the very best and diverse talent. This will involve an initial telephone conversation, followed by a panel interview and a case study over two stages where you will meet with the business's management team.
