The Role

We are looking for a Senior Compliance Analyst to join our Second Line Risk and Compliance Function in Europe.  They will contribute to ensuring effective compliance management across Modulr’s European entity, working closely with our UK business to share and drive best practices. The role will deal with the following: horizon scanning, regulatory change management, regulatory reporting, performing compliance assessments. The position will report into the Head of Risk and Compliance Europe based in Amsterdam.

Modulr has a strong team with extensive experience in payments, so you will have a chance to learn from some experts with a real passion for developing the business.   

Specific duties

  • Help to manage the day-to-day operation of our compliance processes, providing guidance and support to first line teams across the business, and identifying opportunities for improvement.   
  • Support first line teams in the identification, assessment, and treatment of compliance risks. 
  • As part of the second line risk and compliance team, engagement with regulators is also expected.
  • Scan for regulatory changes and assess the impact it has on Modulr. Setup regulatory change management projects in line with regulatory horizon monitoring. 
  • Monitor  improvements and escalate when needed.  
  • Champion a strong compliance culture, influencing people across the business to ensure compliance by design.     
  • Provide high quality, informative and timely management information.  
  • Contribute to the wider Second Line Risk and Compliance Team activities as required, such as; ad hoc analysis; input to RFIs/RFPs; and supporting team development.

 

About you:

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will need to have worked in a similar role within a fast-paced financial institution or consultancy environment and be familiar with the role of a second line compliance analyst or at
  • It would be great if you have exposure to Payments and FinTech but not essential.
  • Great engagement and influencing skills, recognising the importance of developing strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve results and having the confidence to challenge more senior members of staff in an appropriate way.   
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deliver clear and concise messages.  
  • Structured and organised, and able to handle a fast-paced environment and competing priorities.
