Index Exchange is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to join our team in our London (UK), New York or Toronto office. In this role, you will have an amazing opportunity to build within a rapidly growing business. You’ll be part of a driven and passionate growing Global People team who are striving to make a difference in the organization.

What We’re Looking For:

Tactical: The HRBP partners with group leaders & managers on performance management, coaching and training, employee relations, process improvement, employee onboarding and offboarding,  succession planning, talent forecasting and planning, HR and employment law, diversity and inclusion, and culture development.

Collaborative: In this role, you will work cross-functionally with the people team on best practices, communicating people-first initiatives, and implementing programs and projects for our global teams. Possessing strong business acumen, you should align yourself as a partner to the business leaders to ensure continued employee engagement.

Knowledgeable: As the go-to for our Managers to develop an effective and engaging people programs, you should have 5+ years of experience building, maintaining and improving employee programs, influencing decision making, coaching and mentoring, and local employment law. Experience working in a fast-paced technology company is strongly preferred in this role. 

Here’s What You’ll be Doing:

  • Support the development and execution of the People team Roadmap plans
  • Align with the HRBP team to support the employee lifecycle, including performance reviews, compensation, talent development, training, etc.
  • Assist managers and employees with various HR needs and guide them to resources
  • Help translate various policies and processes as the primary point of contact for managers and employees, as required
  • Work with the assigned business groups to ensure initiatives and solutions have full support ahead of implementation
  • Influence and support change management across the company
  • Assist in research and groundwork for projects where market study and best practices are required to be evaluated
  • Work with the People operations team to support any operational needs as required (Onboarding, offboarding, benefits, etc.)

Here's What You Need:

  • 4-7 years of experience as an HRBP supporting globally distributed managers and employees, preferably in Sales and Customer-facing roles and organizations
  • Ideally, you have an HR designation
  • Ideally, you have knowledge and experience with global employment law and labour standards in: USA, UK, Germany, France or other European countries
  • Analytical and goal-oriented
  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize workload in a fast-paced work environment
  • Enthusiastic/driven, a self-starter able to take initiative with the ability to identify issues and find solutions
  • Thorough/methodical with the ability to use data in decision making and provide advice and direction to managers
  • Previous experience in building effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong influencing skills and able to build credibility quickly
  • Commercially astute
  • Ability to think strategically to look at the bigger picture
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
