Senior HRBP
This role is on-site 3 days per week and can be based out of our Boston, MA, Seattle, WA, or Mountainview, CA office.
Our Talent Business Partners (HRBPs) are focused on identifying, developing and implementing projects and initiatives to attract, on-board, develop, motivate, assess, retain and organize our talent who ultimately enable our high growth business. We push our senior leaders to think strategically about their people and are accountable for building the organizational structures, leadership and future teams that will propel Wayfair’s success as a business. We weave together talent-related data to tell a cohesive story about the organizations we support and where we need to invest and arm senior leadership with the data they need to make strategic decisions.
As a Talent Business Partner for the Technology Organization, you will partner with 1 VP and Direct Report of the CTO, and have responsibility for about 650 employees globally. You’ll own human capital strategy and critical business initiatives. You will have the opportunity to shape your role while supporting Wayfair’s executive team in a critical functional area. You will develop employee-driven committees in response to employee engagement survey results and consult on roadmap and action items. You will lead headcount planning and organizational design processes, including reporting and change management processes. You will drive the performance, promotion and development processes and programs to drive a high performance culture.
As a critical member of Wayfair’s leadership team, you will partner with executives across the business to develop a breadth of strategies to attract, retain and develop the best talent.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with aligned executives to drive talent and organizational strategies that help achieve business goals and objectives
- Build integrated strategies and initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness
- Proactively identify skill and leadership gaps within the organization and propose and implement initiatives to address these gaps
- Identify new business objectives and prioritize core analysis for key functional executives. In addition, you'll make data-driven decisions that have a significant, positive impact on efficiency, customer, and revenue/cost
- Work with HR and key stakeholders to develop long term plans for performance calibration, compensation and development processes for employees in relevant functional area
- Provide strategic business partnership and coaching to key functional partners on performance feedback, leadership development and conflict management
What You’ll Need:
- HR Experience strongly preferred (employee lifecycle programs and interventions, executive coaching, headcount planning & org design)
- 8+ years of experience and/or 4+ years post advanced degree preferred
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively influence and communicate at all levels of the organization and lead multiple stakeholder relationships
- Strong data & analytic skills with proven ability to identify trends and determine solutions that meet business needs and engage employees
- Experience in project management or corporate strategy in the tech sector preferred
- Proven experience in developing a strategy and driving tangible results across teams in an ambiguous environment while leveraging data from a multitude of sources to tell a story and impact the overarching strategy. Advanced excel skills needed.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for working across functions and with C-level leaders, synthesizing multiple points of view and owning a coherent action plan, all while negotiating and influencing others
- Strong customer service focus with a sense of urgency and excellent follow through
