Senior Logistic Associate
TheOrigin Service Development (OSD) team was set up in Dec 2021 to develop origin services that enable shippers and suppliers to deliver their goods into Castlegate Forwarding (CGF) network with speed, competitive price and smooth experience. We officially launch origin trucking FTL services in June 2022 helping shippers move products from factories to Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Xiamen CFS sites. Launching FCL services in Q1 2023 moving products from factories to major ports in Asia.
The primary focus of this position is to continuously develop logistics solutions to help organizations to reduce logistics costs, select the best solution service provider through data analysis and comparison, draft operating procedures for vendors according to business requirements, and conduct regular audits on vendors according to standard procedures. Manage and steer supplier performance for continuous vendor performance improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Represent OSDat the stage of new project quotation, work out logistics solutions for new projects and provide logistics quotes for further project budgets.
- In the new project quotation stage, cooperate with theSales & Service Team, pull through the vertical function of logistics solutions, provide logistics solutions for the business needs (proposal layout, costing), participate in budget formulation, and output logistics budget costs;
- Work closely with vendors to implement new service, from the cost efficiency dimension, constantly optimize the logistics solutions, timely completion of the logistics impact analysis and planning of various transport modes.
- Responsible for land transport planning, and develop logistics solutions;
- As a logistics technical representative, update logistics technical requirements, the bidding process, and ensure that logistics resources are in place in a timely manner.
- Collect logistics market information, and relevant market intelligence. Get internal and external resources for logistics benchmarking.
- Assist line manager to complete the annual budget development and implementation of logistics cost budget.
- As OSDrepresentative, review accounts receivable and payment to vendors , and the reasonableness of abnormal costs.
- Regularly analyze the logistics costs, according to the results of the analysis, the development of cost optimization.
- Vendor evaluation according to the approved technical criteria
- Hold monthly vendor performance review meetings.
- Support customer audit including but not limited to external audit by customers and internal audit by the company.
- Establishment and continuous maintenance of the logistics database.
- Regularly generate new product performance reports
- Upstream and downstream logistics projects
- Technology and product projects
Required Experience/Skills
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a directly related field experience in an analytical or consulting role.
Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities:
- Fluency in the English is required as well as excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience of logistics operation and 3+ years of transportation planning and optimization experience
- Familiar with Microsoft Office/Google and working with data
- Strong communication skills and comfortable managing multiple stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
- Analytical and process-oriented, comfortable learning new tools
Preferred or plus
- Advanced knowledge preferred for Google BigQuery
- Logistics-related majors is a plus
