We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Sales Engineering Manager to lead our Sales Engineering team for EMEA and APAC based in London. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical knowledge, sales acumen, and leadership skills to help drive revenue growth and ensure successful customer engagements. You will manage a team of sales engineers, guide them in crafting tailored solutions for clients, and collaborate with various departments to ensure that technical solutions align with customer needs. You will be directly aligned with the VP of Sales for the APAC and EMEA regions. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and the capacity to work closely with cross functional teams (sales, product, and engineering) to ensure customer needs are met with optimal solutions.

What you’ll do:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Sales Engineers, ensuring they have the resources and skills needed to succeed.
  • Set goals, track performance, and provide regular feedback 
  • Facilitate continuous learning in new technologies, product updates, and customer interaction strategies.

Pre Sales Technical Support:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop customized solutions.
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of technical presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Ensure the technical accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions, addressing customer objections and providing expert guidance.

Solution Design & Proposal

  • Assist in designing and developing technical solutions tailored to the client’s needs.
  • Review and approve complex configurations and architecture proposals to ensure alignment with customer requirements and organizational capabilities.
  • Lead the team in developing RFP/RFQ responses, ensuring technical aspects are well articulated.

 Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to stay informed about product capabilities, roadmaps, and new features.
  • Provide Region specific requirements and customer feedback to product and engineering teams to influence product development.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, sales teams, and product teams to ensure smooth communication and product alignment.

  Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Engage with customers and prospects building champions at a technical level to build trust and credibility, ensuring the proposed solution meets their business and technical needs.
  • Handle complex technical questions and objections during the sales process.

 Sales Strategy & Support

  • Partner with sales leadership to strategize and forecast sales opportunities and key accounts, driving successful outcomes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on competitive differentiation and positioning of solutions.
  • Assist in closing deals by addressing technical concerns and demonstrating how the solution adds value to the customer’s business.

KPIs and Reporting

  • Track and report on sales engineering activities, including key performance indicators (KPIs) like customer demos, solution proposals, and deal closure rates.
  •  Analyze data to improve processes, customer satisfaction, and sales conversion rates.

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical pre sales, or solution architecture.
  • 3+  years of experience managing or leading teams
  • SAAS Sales Experience
  • Experience using a formal Sales Process
  • Proven track record of success in managing a sales engineering team in a fast paced    environment.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non technical audiences.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coach and motivate team members.
  • Strong problem solving skills and a customer oriented approach.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and sales support.

  • MEDDPICC or MEDDIC Experience
  • Expertise in Video and Media
  • Multi Lingual
