Our India Pre-Sales Technical Hub

Okta is opening a brand new office in Bangalore to help fuel our growth in APJ. As part of this, we will grow a Pre-Sales Global Innovation centre made up of exceptional talent. In this team, you will focus on serving customers in our Commercial segments; which ranges from digitally native start-ups to scaling SMB’s. 

As a Solutions Engineer (Presales Engineer) you will:

• Support our customers along their sales journey by showing them the value of the Okta technology through live demonstrations and sales presentations.
• Sell directly to IT managers, Developers, Product Managers and at times, more senior executives across a range of industries.
• Showcase the value of Okta technology with a focus on workforce identity management, IAM, and related concepts through live demonstrations and sales presentations.
• Execute well-defined, outcome-focused POCs
• Maintain a broad and deep technical understanding of the Okta product line and the underlying technologies and protocols
• Occasionally participate in local and regional events evangelising Okta as a presenter and an attendee.

We are looking for:

• Background in Software Development/Consulting with a minimum of 3 years of experience
• Experience with authentication or authorization protocols (OAuth, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, LDAP) and knowledge of customer identity frameworks.
• Web application development skills, including front-end and back-end languages/frameworks.
• Proficiency in working with HTTP, HTML, and REST services, along with understanding of core security concerns in applications.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., node.js, Java, .NET)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to grasp presales concepts.
• Experience in identity access and management is a plus.
• Presales experience is also a plus
