YOUR MISSION

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to manage our relationship with Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands, encompassing both XL brands and Small & Medium sized Businesses (SMBs). An ideal candidate is capable of fostering partnerships with large brands as well as fostering relationships with SMBs. In addition to strategic and consultative advertising sales expertise, the role requires a thorough understanding of CPG and retail media.

THE JOURNEY

As the candidate, you will be responsible for the leadership and development of a top-notch commercial team of account managers and team leads. Some of the aspects the Manager will be responsible for include the following:

  • Farming XL and SMB Brands (endemics):
    • Develop and execute strategies to cultivate and expand relationships with XL CPG brands.
    • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders within XL brands to understand their advertising objectives, marketing goals, and brand positioning.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding partnerships with XL brands.
    • Develop scalable strategies and processes for nurturing and retaining SMB relationships, ensuring long-term partnership success.
  • Lead the Joint Business Planning (JBP) Strategy:
    • Spearhead the development and implementation of Joint Business Plans (JBPs) in collaboration with Top CPG brands.
    • Work closely with internal cross-functional teams to align JBP strategies with company objectives and brand goals.
    • Monitor and analyze JBP performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and maximize ROI for both parties.
  • Design and Implement a Sales Consultative Approach:
    • Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand the unique needs, challenges, and pain points of CPG brands.
    • Collaborate with brands to co-create tailored advertising solutions that align with their objectives and drive business results.
    • Inspire your team to serve as a trusted advisor to brands, offering strategic insights, market intelligence, and best practices to enhance their advertising effectiveness.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Business Administration, Commercial, Management, Marketing, Engineering or related careers.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience FMCGs e-commerce or marketing teams, or in E-commerce pure player. At least 2+ years of experience in the retail media ecosystem.
  • Proven experience on solid management skills, inspiring and motivating teams to drive results
  • Strong understanding of CPG industry trends, competitive landscape, and key players.
  • Excellent commercial skills - you have a natural ability to openly communicate and engage with new people. Full comprehension of client businesses and needs.
  • Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data-driven mentality: takes decision based on data and makes business judgment when necessary
  • Experience with Salesforce software and commercial lead management.
  • You’re an owner, you have a natural bias for action, always pushing for things to happen, objective and deadline oriented
  • You ensure the highest standards for you and your team with the deliverables and business objectives
  • You have an ambition and energy that makes some people think you're crazy while inspiring others
  • You are always a step ahead, proactive with potential problems/opportunities and always thinking how to be better
