The worldwide data management software market is massive (IDC forecasts it to be $136 billion by 2027!). At MongoDB we are transforming industries and empowering developers to build amazing apps that people use every day. We are the leading developer data platform and the first database provider to IPO in over 20 years. Join our team and be at the forefront of innovation and creativity.

MongoDB is seeking a content manager (on a 12 month contract) to help manage our production schedule and assist in creating technically accurate, immersive executive keynote presentations, including the MongoDB.local series. In collaboration with team leads across the organization, this role will work hand in hand with the Executive Keynote Advisor, contributing to the production of a compelling and cohesive story around our latest products.

The goal is to develop best-in-class keynotes and event content that inspires our core audience of developers on an international scale. After these keynotes are created, you are then responsible for taking the content on the road and supporting our speakers on-site at events as well as doing behind-the-scenes work such as managing the production and speaker review/rehearsal schedules.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in New York City for our hybrid working model.

The Team

This role will join the Storytelling & Event Content team, which sits within Global Corporate Marketing, covering executive keynote content, breakout program management, and speaker enablement. This team turns technical releases into exciting narratives that convey who MongoDB is, what MongoDB does and why it matters to audiences of mixed seniority and areas of expertise. This includes the speaker selection process, speaker management, coaching, presentation reviews, and the keynote production.

You are…
  • A storyteller with a great mix of creativity and enthusiasm
  • Experienced in stakeholder management and able to strategically action feedback
  • Experienced with on-site event support (running dress rehearsals, making last minute content updates and supporting senior speakers)

Position Expectations:
  • Support our Executive Keynote Advisor in the content creation of the FY25 keynote
  • Manage content development calendar and keynote speaker prep schedules
  • Ensure timely asset delivery from contributing teams
  • (TBC) Travel (roughly 30% of time) to conference events and work with the field marketing team to ensure the keynotes run efficiently
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant content / marketing experience managing detailed presentations
  • Technical content writing/creation experience (design skills are not required, you will work with a Design team to bring our keynotes to life)
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile and fast-paced environment
  • Great collaboration and communication skills – content production takes a village
  • Proficient command of the English language
  • Google Docs Suite proficiency
Preferred Experience:
  • Software development
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree
  • SaaS or Database company background
  • Keynote creation/production
