We’re looking for a Corporate Communications Specialist to help us craft and execute internal and external communications that support our business objectives and help us build, foster and continually improve Hootsuite’s brand recognition and reputation. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders on organization-wide initiatives, driving brand and executive leadership positions externally and supporting and championing the employee experience. While working remotely or in a hybrid work arrangement, a blend of virtual (in accordance with Hootsuite’s distributed workforce strategy), and in Hootsuite’s Vancouver or Toronto office, you will report our Senior Manager, External Communications.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Support the creation of external press releases, media lists, media pitches, speaking proposals, briefing materials, blog posts, and other communications materials to help reinforce Hootsuite’s leadership in social media management.
  • Track and analyze media coverage to regularly share with stakeholders and inform future initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage Hootsuite’s corporate intranet for effectiveness and alignment with internal communications practices
  • Support Corporate Communications leaders in the planning, implementation and content curation for our most critical all-employee touchpoints, such as our annual Kick-Off, Town Halls and other similar global events.
  • Plan and execute internal touchpoints, such as Hootcheck and ELT Q+A
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal communications tools and mechanisms, including messaging cascades, focus groups, surveys, and more
  • Support the preparation of award applications and speaking opportunity requests
  • Nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help tell the stories that matter to our customers, partners and employees on our communication channels
  • Perform other related internal and external comms duties as assigned

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Considerable relevant experience with PR and/or corporate communications experience. Strong writing skills, with a focus on accuracy, creativity and persuasion.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative with a roll-up-your-sleeves approach.

Canada Pay Range For This Role$64,600—$90,400 CAD
