The Data & AI Strategist is representing Databricks’ commitment to lead businesses through the intricate realm of data and AI. You will position our technology at the forefront of business transformation with our customers and partners, while using a strategic thought process, technical mastery and familiarity with the business of our clients.

As a Data & AI Strategist, you will share your experience with senior decision makers and other senior roles who are looking to transform their business, both by unlocking new areas of success within existing clients and creating more opportunities with new clients.

You will collaborate with the account teams to develop a strategic point of view for evolving data-driven decision-making over the next 1-3-5 years and identifying short, mid, and long-term priorities as a roadmap for our engagement with customers and their success using Data & AI.

For this you will create evidence-based narratives with our Value Advisor Team to inspire customers about the art of the possible, underpinned by the Databricks platform, investment direction and possibilities. This will also require collaboration with other teams and using the diverse value propositions of our partners and service providers.

This is a remote role, but you will need to travel to our customers and offices. You'll be reporting to the Director of Field Engineering for Databricks in Germany.

The impact you will have:

  • Strategic Leadership: You'll help develop longer-term and large-scale roadmaps for using data and AI within our customers. You'll take over value elements within engagements which run in close sync with the value advisor teams. You would need to align Databricks' capabilities with people, process, and technology investments to guide customer success both within existing clients and creating more aspiring opportunities with new clients.
  • Drive key success metrics: You'll shape value propositions, creating customer-centric Point-of-Views based on Databricks priorities and ensuring cohesive messaging that resonates with our target audience.
  • Focused Account Planning: You'll help the account teams to become more strategic with our customers. For this you'll lead strategic account planning sessions, ensuring calibration between our advanced value-selling model, an understanding of our competitors, and an encompassing view of Databricks and the broader industry.
  • Bid Development: You'll help shape Framework Contracts, strategizing bids, and energizing account acquisition ventures.
  • Coaching and Empowerment: You'll support coaching and empowering our sales and technical communities to enhance their engagement within their respective clients.
  • Evangelism: You'll be the voice and ambassador for Databricks as The Data Intelligence Platform, sparking interest through captivating presentations, promoting collaborations, and amplifying our presence in different forums, events, and on social media.
