As a Data Engineer, Production Technology, you will enhance our production systems and data integrations across the business. You will have the opportunity to build production-grade products that will be used across different production facilities in the US, with hundreds of internal users.

You will ...
  • Develop deep knowledge of site-level operations to drive and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources
  • Develop new software applications to enhance system operations and improve efficiencies and visibility across all software platforms
  • Lead software or data implementations from design through deployment across multiple facilities in the US
  • Provide tier 3 support by troubleshooting escalated technical issues in WMS, WES, WCS, and other systems across all operations as they occur
  • Understand all available reporting tools, and create automated reports that enable improved operation visibility and performance
  • Oversee QA efforts for all production software systems
  • Create documentation to describe systems that you develop/work with

At a minimum, you have...
  • BS degree required.  Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Engineering Degree desired
  • Experience with building backend infrastructure using Python & SQL (SQLAlchemy, Flask, FastAPI, Django)
  • Know the basics of frontend development (comfortable with basic HTML/CSS)
  • 2+ years of experience with software and data engineering
  • Familiarity with event streaming/message queuing technologies such as RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub, and Kafka
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles
  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform data analysis tasks
  • Experience gathering data and creating custom reports (Grafana, Tableau) 
  • Some travel

Bonus points for:

Experience in multi-site industrial distribution, manufacturing, or processing environments

  • Experienced with large-scale data replication and clustering
  • Proficient in crafting and implementing scalable, dependable data pipelines to guarantee adherence to SLA uptime standards.
  • Understanding of data governance and security principles
