The Opportunity:

The Data Quality and Analytics Manager/Senior Manager will be part of the Finance Systems & Innovation team and reports into the Senior Manager (Data & Analytics). The successful candidate will work to ensure that there is financial data accuracy and consistency. This will include reconciliation between different sources, deep dives into root causes and driving the process of fixing the issues.

This person should enjoy attention to detail, spotting discrepancies and diving deep into complex data structures. They will need to engage with other teams, product owners and senior management to get a buy in for and drive the initiatives to fix data issues at source.

** This position is based in Bangkok - full relocation provided for expat candidates **

In this role, you’ll get to:

• Support the Finance team in having data accuracy and consistency
• Own the reconciliation process between different financial data sources.
• Spend time to get familiar with financial data flows and data structures and formalize this knowledge for the team, including documentation
• Collaborate with other teams like product and engineering to drive improvements and fixes that improve Finance data quality
• Discover and own potential finance data issues and work towards fixing them
• Update senior finance management on the results and improvements. 

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or other relevant degrees
• 7 - 15 years of experience with BI & analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, Metabase or similar technologies)
• Experience in ETL tools, data modelling and have proficient knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases: the ability to write, execute and interpret queries is essential.
• Quick learner, problem-solving aptitude, effective prioritization, proactive and strong attention to detail
• High sense of ownership and growth mindset, ability to be self-directed
• Ability to understand business questions/requests and be able to suggest proper datasolutions which are measurable and scalable.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence peers and build strong relationshipswithin Finance and cross-functionally
• Advanced Excel proficiency including modelling (OLAP cubes & VBA a bonus)

It’s great if you have:

• Accounting/Financial knowledge and commercial acumen
• Solid technical/functional knowledge in statistics
• Familiarity with scrum/agile methodology
• Other helpful skills – T-SQL, batch scripting, ODBC, data mining, Hadoop
