YOUR MISSION

We are looking for a seasoned Data Scientist to join our Media Analytics team in our HQ in sunny Barcelona. 

The media analytics  team is handling all analytical work for our performance marketing and top of mind media investment. That includes the optimization of budgets for all our marketing campaigns across all countries, optimizing performance marking channels, measuring the effectiveness of this investment, coordinating with local teams, and ensuring soundness and high quality in their assessments. 

As part of the team your main focus area will be the impact assessment and optimization of all our investment in offline media. Questions you will come across frequently are: 

  • How much should I invest in online video? 
  • How can I measure the effectiveness of my top of mind investment on brand awareness? 
  • What are the short term versus long term effects of my TV strategy? 

Furthermore, you are the owner/mentor of the experiment efforts of local teams and help them in meeting our high quality standards. 

THE JOURNEY

  • Leverage advanced statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to solve for product and business problems that drive the highest impact.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to define the product roadmap and strategy, monitor and give visibility of product metrics and KPIs.
  • Drive product discovery, formulate data-driven hypotheses and convert them into analysis and actionable insights.
  • Owning everything analytics end to end in the product development cycle, from ideation and opportunity sizing to experimentation and post-launch impact analyses.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders acting as a strategic and supportive link between the technology, business, and product.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • 2-5 years of professional experience outside of an academic and internship setting, in a quantitative analysis role, preferably in product facing teams
  • Deep theoretical and applied knowledge in at-least one of the following areas: supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, game theory, statistical inference, bayesian statistics, causal inference, time series analysis, decision theory, mathematical optimisation
  • Demonstrable experience with the application of statistical modelling and advanced analytics to provide product-shaping insights and drive decision-making
  • A higher education in a scientific discipline such as Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or Economics.
  • Knowledge and experience in digital product development and working with diverse stakeholders
  • Good understanding of software development and agile methodologies
  • Mastery in SQL and statistical programming (Python) and experience working with popular libraries such as Pandas, SciPy, Seaborn, Jupyter/iPython notebooks
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and analyzing experiments in digital products (A/B test, multivariate, etc)
  • Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, PowerBI
  • Excellent spoken and written English

Nice to have:

  • Having worked in a marketing context (Performance marketing and/or media space)
  • Having experience in impact measurement of offline media is a big plus.
