SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE…

Our team is responsible for ensuring Pure Technologies products are delivered to our customers as promised through a future-ready logistics network.  As a Director, Trade and Compliance you will be responsible for managing our global trade and compliance operations to meet established performance goals and deliver best in class operational efficiency.  You will report to the Vice President, Supply Chain Execution and Logistics.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING…

  • Provide expert direction and guidance to leaders, and key stakeholders, on global trade and compliance and execute on Pure’s Trade Management Program
  • Oversee Pure’s export and sanctions policies and program elements
  • Provide oversight for implementation of screening protocols covering US government and international trade control regulations
  • advise on and support Government Affairs policy initiatives.
  • Lead internationally distributed trade teams and champion the organizations transformation efforts.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and ensure timely communication and implementation of new procedures and policies.
  • Manage the company’s export compliance risk assessment process to ensure effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external regulators on US and global export control, licensing and trade compliance matters.
  • Develop and manage all aspects customs and export control activities, export control program in product classification (HTS) and commodity control classification (ECCN)
  • Design world class technical trade guidance and solutions to execute against the current business needs, adapt to regulatory changes, and prepare for seamless execution.
  • Familiarity in strategically managing freight forwarders, customs brokers, and service providers. 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM…

  • 15+ years global trade experience including 10+ years in a senior leadership role, or equivalent skill.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of global trade laws and regulations to include: laws and regulations administered by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), understanding of Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) categories, Export License conditions/processes and Dual Use Commodities
  • Skilled at defining and executing a global trade compliance strategy within a large, multinational organization (preferably in the technology industry)
  • Exceptional ability to influence others, act decisively and with a sense of urgency; must be able to effectively drive internal and stakeholder decision-making in relation to regulations, actions and investments.
  • Possess a strategic and transformational mindset; must be forward-thinking with the ability to inspire innovation and embrace change.
  • This position is located in our HQ in Santa Clara, CA. Must be willing to work in the office at least 3 days per week.

The annual base salary range is: $167,000 - $251,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
