The Opportunity:

Based in either Germany or Switzerland, as an Enterprise Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling commercetools’ portfolio of products to named accounts across key verticals within Austria and Switzerland.

You will work closely with current and prospective customers as a trusted advisor to deeply understand their commerce challenges and goals.  You will consult and educate customers on a new approach for building a better commerce experience. You will contribute to our business growth in a fast-paced, collaborative, and fun environment, as a valued member of our team.

The Enterprise Account Executive will require an outbound mindset approaching named accounts from multiple angles including directly and via partners.  You will be supported by a BDR team, solution consulting, partner management and field marketing.

*** Please note: For this role, we are able to consider candidates who are based remotely in either Germany or Switzerland ***

Your Mission:

  • Communicate the value of commercetools' solutions to C-level executives and other senior enterprise decision-makers
  • Conduct discovery and execute on the sales process to uncover the needs of large, enterprise companies
  • Develop a strategic plan for your territory to meet monthly, quarterly and annual bookings and revenue objectives
  • Timely and accurate updating of Salesforce.com CRM, forecasts, and pipeline data to ensure the generation of accurate territory and management reports
  • Create, manage and close a strong pipeline of opportunities in the designated named accounts
  • Work collaboratively with Partner Management, Customer Success and Marketing to ensure successful sales outcomes

 

What you need to succeed:

  • 5+ years of successful experience selling enterprise solutions to CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, CMOs, VPs
  • Fluency in both spoken & written German & English
  • Solid understanding of the digital commerce landscape including competition such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Hybris, self-built solutions
  • Proven experience of selling complex solutions in a highly disruptive replacement market
  • Proven ability to sell collaboratively with multiple internal stakeholders and teams, creating meaningful relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. customers, partners, prospects, etc.)
  • A data-driven approach to decision-making with a good understanding of sales performance metrics; experience using Salesforce CRM to manage the book of business
  • Experience of Command of the Message and MEDDPICC methodologies
  • Excellent organisational, communication (interpersonal and presentation) and closing skills, with demonstrated success of applying these in previous sales roles
  • Can develop and understand complex business processes/business models
  • A self-starter, independent and team-oriented with a structured way of working
