The Role

This is a new role working within the developing Procurement organisation of Deliveroo that offers a rare opportunity to be a part of a successful tech company that has experienced high growth. Post IPO, Procurement is transitioning from supporting high growth to being one of the central leavers supporting Deliveroo to deliver its 2026 profit target.

You can continue the build of Technology Procurement (which includes all cloud services, business applications and hardware) with a responsibility for working with a broad range of colleagues to manage a high profile external spend of circa £100m per annum that is important to success. We will look for you to bring expertise across all facets of the technology area regards supply base, shaping the category, creating appropriate relationships with important suppliers and being an important ‘Business Partner’ within Deliveroo. You will report to the Director of Procurement and will work in HQ (London, Cannon street).

What you'll do

  • This is a Global role, operating from HQ, which would involve leading Technology Procurement to driving cost, quality, supply, and sustainability improvements through strategic category management and sourcing activities, including supplier relationship management, vendor & bizapp consolidation, cloud solution optimisation and purchase compliance across the group.

  • Be part of developing and then advocating the procurement strategy for the Group

  • Improve, best value partnerships with suppliers, contributing to spend targets and KPIs.

  • Manage a small team of Procurement professionals.

  • Work with the Finance and Legal teams to ensure compliance within the Technology areas.

  • Oversee the development of key, strategic relationships and our most valuable negotiations with Technology suppliers

  • Influence and build relationships across the category and through this becoming a trusted advisor and ‘important friend’ to the CTO exec and senior management.

What do you need to bring to the table?

  • 8 years of technology procurement experience, which includes at least three years of building teams

  • An ability to think creatively; identify and solve problems.

  • Can demonstrate successful results in managing technology procurement activity including sourcing, supplier management and building value-driving category plans.

  • Experienced at working in (or with) fast-paced startups, with some global procurement exposure

  • Proven negotiation ability and be able to lean on this both externally and internally to drive value while building quality partnerships

  • Be able to build relationship both with main suppliers and partners

  • Be able to manage risk and prioritise

  • Degree or equivalent qualified.

  • MCIPS Qualification is desirable, but not essential
