The Ice Machine Operator is responsible for the daily set-up, operation, and general maintenance of all equipment within the ice production space. You are responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality packs, efficiently, and managing the packing staff in your team.

• Set up machinery for operation
• Perform pre-ops checks
• Start equipment and make informed adjustments for improved performance
• Operate equipment according to training and instructions
• Troubleshoot and perform general maintenance on the machine
• Perform quality control procedure and report issues to production manager and/or maintenance staff
• Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness/proper housekeeping in the production space
• Continuous Improvement initiatives for Ice Production Efficiency & Quality
• Training Ice packers as per approved SOP

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience operating equipment in a manufacturing facility, or similar
• Detail-oriented
• General maintenance experience/mechanically minded (preferred)
• Ability to lead a small team, and work efficiently within a team environment
• Ability to work in a cold environment (5 – 7 C)
• Ability to lift 20kg, consistently, bend and stand for long periods

GMP and H&S:

• Participate and comply with all HelloFresh Health and Safety procedures and communications, inductions, training, signage, safe work instructions and PPE requirements taking responsibility for your own health and safety and the safety of others at the workplace.  
• Participate and comply with HelloFresh GMP standards for food safety by following all instructions and restrictions for entering and working in the production environment at a distribution centre.

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period

Duration: Permanent full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia/New Zealand.

Location: Pemulwuy - parking on site - moving to new facility in August, Eastern Creek
