Role Description:

We are looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to reinforce our team in Sophia-Antipolis, our main R&D dev site.  As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our organization’s technology systems. Your responsibilities will span from providing technical assistance to staff and customers to actively participating in IT infrastructure enhancements. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that aims to optimize operational efficiency and elevate our IT capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • L1 to L3 Support Activities:
    • Being the first point of contact for Symphony employees seeking technical help with internal IT services and systems
    • Working closely with Symphony employees at all levels to resolve technical issues focusing on quality and speed.
    • Using the ticket tool and associated toolset to record, escalate and resolve incidents, problems and change requests.
    • Taking ownership of onboarding new employees, new employee training and managing timely execution of termination of access for departing employees.
  • System Upgrades and Security:
    • Identifying trends and implementing measures to reduce overall contacts from the business into IT.
    • Implementing and adhering to standard operating procedures.
    • Working with the wider group on asset management.
    • Working with the wider group to ensure all security protocols and procedures are followed.
    • Contributing to the IT Knowledgebase, adding content to it, and sharing with our employees.
    • Working with the team on various projects outside of the normal scope when required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and comfort working directly with customers
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to self-prioritize and reprioritize
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an IT support specialist.
  • Service-oriented mindset.
  • Notable experience in administering a Google Workspace environment, Active Directory (Entra & on-prem AD and a MDM (intune)
  • Has clear experience managing and supporting Windows 10/11, Linux and macOS end-user devices.
  • Experience with agile product methodology is a plus
