The role

From day one you will be responsible for Fresh Produce, Herbs and Fruit categories sourcing and supplier management to procure the best ingredients for the number one meal kit provider in the market. You will be part of the local Procurement squad and also closely work with our international procurement team who can support you with deep category knowledge. We seek candidates that will bring an analytical, structured and proactive way of working, focused on delivering results in a high-paced environment. Our ideal applicant has experience from a high performance culture environment in the food/retail industry, and is hungry to take on a challenge and make an impact at a fun, fast-growing, mission-driven meal kit delivery service business. The successful applicant will require a mix of entrepreneurialism, creativity, negotiation, administration and commercial logic.  

What you’ll do

You will be responsible for:

• Plan and lead Fresh Produce, Herbs and Fruit category strategy, cost savings, product development and value engineering initiatives
• Manage our supplier network and develop new supplier relationships, from identifying potential suppliers to negotiating new agreements
• Identify and implement commercial opportunities through a data-driven approach
• Manage purchase orders to our suppliers, while supporting our Operations and Food Safety Teams to ensure optimal suppliers’ service levels
• Complete operational tasks for the correct flow of the supply chain: update POs, check delivery status, manage inbounding issues, verify correct invoicing and inventory accuracy
• Structure processes to continuously improve the operations, collaborating with the other Ops teams and the International team in Berlin
• Travelling time up to 10%

What you’ll bring

• University graduate in Business/Management, Economics or related fields with excellent grades
• ~1/3 years of experience in strategic procurement of fresh produce and fruit, ideally in a high performance culture environment
• A strong analytical and commercial mindset - strong command of Excel/GSheets is a must
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of ‘getting things done’ and hands-on mentality
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities while adhering to time-sensitive deadlines
• Strong Italian and English proficiency is a must
• Knowledge about and passion for food
• Availability to work MON-FRI from 7.30am to 5.00pm (including lunch break) and potential paid availability during the weekends
