Role Description

The Manager of Corporate FP&A will play a critical role in driving our corporate financial consolidation and reporting, creating durable and recurring corporate processes and resources, and building additional analysis and insight into everything we do. In this highly visible role, you will have a major impact on the success of our FP&A team — managing a team of two that produces consolidated financial reporting for Dropbox’s executive team and Board of Directors, global Free Cash Flow forecasting and analytics, and the FP&A team’s planning resources and calendar. As you execute your responsibilities, you will be empowered to set the vision and goals for the Corporate FP&A team, then partner across the Finance organization to build relationships, optimize our tools, and seek efficiencies that deliver on those goals. The ideal candidate is always looking to incrementally improve processes and analyses, can seamlessly connect detail-oriented analysis to “big picture” implications, and thinks and plans multiple steps ahead to create durability and predictability in their team’s work.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of consolidated P&L reporting.  Oversee the monthly close process, maintaining alignment with Accounting and FP&A business partners to ensure accurate company-wide financial statement reporting. Provide guidance and insight to deliver a cohesive, complete, and actionable financial narrative.
  • Drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles — bringing past experience to help scale our systems and tools, create more durable planning processes and timelines, and ensure continued accuracy and deeper analysis in each cycle.
  • Oversee the preparation of analysis, commentary, and presentation materials for Audit Committee, Board of Directors, and other Executive-level reviews. Execute and/or delegate recurring and ad-hoc analyses and special projects as requested by our CFO and Finance Leadership team.
  • Maintain the consolidated Free Cash Flow model, partnering with our Treasury and Accounting functions to continually improve the accuracy and management of this key metric.
  • Build a robust process to support Legal Entity reporting and forecasting with the goal of improving our forecast accuracy and predictability over time. Support the Tax team with analysis, insight, and commentary that support statutory and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Systems team to create and execute enhancements that further leverage our planning tools and drive insights and decision-making speed for the FP&A team.
  • Lead and coach a team to continue to improve and expand their impact on the FP&A team and Dropbox at-large. Bring a collaborative, hands-on approach to your work, developing open communications and productive work relationships across the Finance organization — with a particular focus on partnership with Investor Relations, Treasury, and Accounting.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of progressive experience on a Corporate FP&A team at public company, including multiple years as a people manager
  • Previous owner of, or key contributor to, a monthly reporting package delivered to the CFO; capable of researching and summarizing trends and data into a concise, actionable narrative
  • Prior experience owning or directly contributing to a consolidated Free Cash Flow model
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills and the ability to guide and influence Senior Leadership
  • Proven ability to drive results with a focused, pragmatic approach
  • BS/BA in Finance, Economics, or other quantitative discipline
  • Background in SaaS Tech company strongly preferred
