The AirCover team is charged with ideating, building, launching, and managing the AirCover business inside of Airbnb. We have a huge responsibility to our community of Hosts and guests to be there when things don’t go exactly as planned with their reservations. We have a lot of work to do in the coming years and we are looking for someone who will help us manage all of the things that need to be done to deliver best-in-class services to our community.

The Aircover Ops Operational Success Team, a vital part of Aircover Scaled Ops and Optimization, empowers our operations and cross-functional partners through talent development and sustainable solutions. We achieve this by developing and facilitating best practices, research, support, and training plans in collaboration with our Shared Services team, contributing to operational excellence, including partner BPOs, and cultivating lasting impactful operational excellence throughout the organization.

We are looking for an Operational Success Engagement Specialist who plays a pivotal role within our team fostering a thriving team culture within the Aircover organization. The role of Team Engagement Specialist is crucial in helping organizations create a positive and inclusive workplace culture, boost employee morale, and ultimately improve overall performance and retention.

The Difference You Will Make:

In the role of Operational Success Engagement Specialist, your mission is to empower our Aircover Ops team, including ACC and partner sites, with the essential capabilities, resources, mindsets, and behaviors needed to not only thrive but also excel in a rapidly growing business environment, even as we scale up by a factor of 10X. This role represents a critical pillar within Aircover, where we develop, enhance, and disseminate strategic operational capabilities throughout the organization. The ultimate goal is to foster deep engagement among our team members, amplify the influential capabilities of Aircover Scaled Ops, and ultimately achieve flawless end-to-end customer lifecycle management for all.

  • Communication Skills: Effective communication is paramount in this role. Specialists need to communicate with employees, leadership, and cross-functional teams to convey ideas, deliver training, and maintain communication channels effectively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Building and nurturing relationships with employees, teams, and stakeholders is crucial for understanding their needs, fostering engagement, and organizing events.
  • Data Analysis: The ability to collect, analyze, and interpret employee feedback and survey data is essential for making informed recommendations, measuring program effectiveness, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Diversity and Belonging (D&B)): Knowledge of D&B principles and strategies is increasingly important in today's workplace. Specialists must drive efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, creating an inclusive culture where all employees feel valued and respected.

A Typical Day: 

  • Employee Engagement Programs: Develop and implement strategies and programs to increase employee engagement, motivation, and satisfaction. This includes conducting surveys, analyzing feedback, and recommending action plans.
  • Cultural Assessment: Assess the organization's current culture, values, and employee sentiment to identify areas for improvement and alignment with the company's goals.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with talent and Operation leadership to design and deliver training programs that support cultural initiatives, leadership development, and team-building efforts.
  • Communication: Create and maintain effective communication channels to ensure that employees are informed about organizational changes, initiatives, and culture-related activities. This includes hosting meetings, sending newsletters, and having good written communications via emails and slack. 
  • Diversity and Belonging : Drive efforts to promote diversity and inclusion within the global workplace. Develop and execute strategies to foster an inclusive culture.
  • Recognition and Rewards: Establish recognition and reward programs that acknowledge employee contributions and reinforce desired behaviors. Assure budget tracking. 
  • Employee Feedback: Collect and analyze feedback from employees through surveys, focus groups, and one-on-one interactions. Use insights to make data-driven recommendations for culture improvement.
  • Change Management: Assist in managing organizational change initiatives by providing support, communication plans, and strategies to help employees adapt. Also support prioritization framework for effective execution of the most impactful projects. 
  • Event Planning: Organize and coordinate events, activities, and initiatives that promote team building, social interaction, and a positive work atmosphere.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 1-3 years of experience in customer engagement, employee engagement or a related field
  • Proven experience in employee engagement, culture development, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of organizational behavior, change management, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to use metrics to drive decision-making.
  • Creativity and innovation in designing engagement programs.
  • Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in HR software and tools for survey administration and data analysis.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced global and diverse environment 
  • Experience with project management software, such as Asana or Trello
  • Graphic design skills using presentation, newsletter creation tool

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual hourly rate is dependent upon many factors, such as: education, experience, and skills. The hourly rate is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits. 

Pay Range$27.88—$30.76 USD
