We’re looking for a People Analytics Partner to join the Pinterest People Insights & Analytics (PIA) team. PIA is a team of analytics experts, research scientists and dashboard wizards delivering business intelligence solutions and data-driven insights to help our leaders make better decisions. We are a highly collaborative team, partnering across the People Team and the Business on all the programs we deliver.

As a People Analytics Partner for People Team for Centers of Excellence, you’ll be a thought partner and data expert to CoE stakeholder teams (Talent Acquisition, Inclusion & Diversity, Rewards, L&D, Talent Management, etc) helping them solve their challenges with Business Intelligence self-serve products, analytics, and evidence. You’ll work with your stakeholders to discern their priorities to identify best solutions and design, or analytics to deliver compelling insights and evidence. You’ll gather requirements, suggest more effective data solutions and design, interpret data to inform decisions and help improve the employee experience across all of our People programs. You’ll build ad hoc deliverables or collaborate with your PIA teammates to build enduring data products, evolve dashboards, produce operational KPIs used to drive business decision-making, and partner with stakeholders on the People Team to support Pinterest leaders, managers and employees.

What you’ll do:

  • Define business priorities and needs through discovery sessions with key stakeholders and identify user stories.
  • Build trust and credential as an internal consultant, provide perspectives and offer alternatives that best address stakeholder needs.
  • Partner with stakeholders and the Head of PIA to prioritize projects.
  • Develop reporting and metric output, presentations that answer ad hoc or initiative supporting questions.
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, or yearly summary aggregate metrics check-in reports to a diverse range of stakeholders from individual contributors to VPs.
  • Mine data, analyze, and translate findings into relevant, actionable, and digestible insights.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline asks and build scalable solutions to facilitate a self-serve and a data-driven culture both independently and in partnership with others on PIA where appropriate.
  • Ensure a data perspective is applied to understanding and evaluating effectiveness of people programs, such as ROI analysis.
  • Collaborate with PIA teammates and cross-functional partners to improve our offerings and design meaningful insights closely aligned with needs.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement by identifying clear measures of success as well as influencing process design to enable appropriate data capture.

What we’re looking for:

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders and represent both stakeholder and PIA perspectives.
  • Strong experience with HR CoEs data and analytics, especially Talent Acquisition is strongly preferred.
  • Intermediate skill with visualization tools (e.g. Tableau), static delivery tools (e.g., PowerPoint/G-Slides, Excel, etc).
  • Ability to manipulate large data sets with high dimensionality and complexity; medium fluency in SQL.
  • Experience in a relevant analytics role with a strong preference applying your skills to employee and organization related data.
  • Ability to lead initiatives across multiple areas and prioritize.
  • Experience in data storytelling and use of data visualizations to bring important takeaways and concepts to life.  Creates cogent narratives and encourages business partners to critically engage in data-driven decision making.
  • Experience with statistical methods is a plus (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared, regression).
  • Experience in Human Resources technology and tools, including experience with Workday, Greenhouse, or related tools is a plus.
