SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

Join our dynamic design team, where we're at the forefront of crafting products for digital transformations. As a key player in close collaboration with fellow product managers and cross-functional teams, you'll be instrumental in driving the creation of simplified and intuitive user experiences for Pure Storage's product experience. Our primary goal is to deliver top-notch ecommerce solutions and customer lifecycle management, while also developing custom products that enhance our core offerings and form the backbone of our tool ecosystem. This involves designing user interfaces from the early stages of product definition and development, all the way through to product launch. You'll also actively participate in stakeholder calls to both realize their visions and facilitate adoption through optimized processes and tools.

We're looking for a creative, self-motivated Product Design Intern who relishes challenges and champions the needs of end-users. You should be a collaborative team player who is not afraid to share your opinions and think critically to improve our products. As a member of the DTG Product team, you will be engaging in exciting design projects, including summary dashboards, quoting processes, marketing presentations, analytics hub and other new initiatives. Communicating your design vision effectively through wireframes, mockups, storyboards, or interactive prototypes would be even better. Conduct interviews to understand problems in-depth or to validate design approaches, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations. Work closely with team members to guarantee pixel-perfect implementation, considering all possible edge case scenarios.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • Ability to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.
  • Currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.
  • Currently enrolled in a Product Design or related field degree-seeking program at the Bachelor's or Graduate level.
  • Proficiency in Figma and other software prototyping tools.
  • Experience with design systems.
  • Strong skills in modern visual design; experience in designing for enterprise, SaaS, or cloud-based software is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for effectively conveying design rationale and process to the team and stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively receive feedback from stakeholders and deliver designs that embody the best ideas from the talented individuals you collaborate with. You should be a self-starter with a growth mindset and strong work ethic.
  • You will be based in Santa Clara, CA. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3-4 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.

The salary range is: $34.00 – $46.00 per hour. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
