Partner Home is Wayfair’s supplier-facing ecosystem, enabling our 23,000+ supplier partners to deliver on that promise. It provides suppliers with all tools to run their business on Wayfair from a commercial and operational perspective: Creating a catalog, managing product inventory, setting up promotions, fulfilling customer orders, getting performance reporting, managing supplier finances, and many more.

The Experience Design team at Wayfair is a diverse, multidisciplinary team of world-class designers who are hard at work transforming the experience for suppliers who are selling all things home through our storefront websites. Our design practice is collaborative, data-driven, and fast-paced.

As a Product Designer II on our Partner Home Advertising team, you will play a crucial role in developing user-centric designs that enhance both the supplier and customer experience on our eCommerce platform. This position requires a strong aesthetic sense paired with practical design skills to deliver seamless and effective user experiences. Your efforts will directly boost product visibility and desirability by helping suppliers build successful advertising campaigns and enabling shoppers to find their perfect products quickly and easily through targeted ads.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you will be accountable for the design of our supplier platform offerings. You contribute to discovering new platform solutions together with your team that helps reach our outcomes around improved user experience, efficiency, and scalability. You will partner with product, research, engineering, and analytics teams to understand our supplier problems and needs to contribute to designing user-centric experiences.

Success in this role means designing data and research-backed solutions that will get broadly adopted across the supplier-facing ecosystem ensuring intuitive, cohesive journeys with a high bar for quality user experience to deliver impact.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Utilize design thinking principles to build engaging customer experiences which solve goals with elegant simplicity.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, user researchers, and other experienced designers to execute design concepts that deliver on brand goals, business goals, and are technically feasible to implement.
  • Align with multiple teams to create cross-functional and user-centric design solutions.
  • Drive a sense of urgency in the team to deliver work, emphasizing the use of lean tools and techniques to more rapidly deliver work.
  • Day-to-day work will consist of a combination of design execution, and design operations management.
  • Contribute to the improvement of our cross-team collaboration Design processes, advocating best practices and innovative solutions between Product, Design, and Engineering teams embracing Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrate strong administration and communication skills. Be a strategist who can take a step back on overarching goals and opportunities, while also acting as a product practitioner who can meticulously work alongside their teams with domain knowledge and design prowess.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • 3+ years of professional UX experience.
  • Strong understanding of design processes; knowledge of what is possible and what will be hard to achieve and/or implement in a digital environment.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You should be able to effectively present and explain ideas, while also being open-minded and willing to consider new perspectives that may shape your solutions.
  • Strong skills in modern design tools like Figma, Sketch, Miro, UserTesting, and Creative Suite.
  • Expertise in producing relevant deliverables, including detailed site maps, user flows/task flows, user journeys, page flows, taxonomies/folksonomies, paths to purchase, wireframes, annotations, and prototypes that represent interaction recommendations, etc.
  • Research expertise highly valued: You have a solid understanding of basic research principles and methodologies, and have a proven track record of independently conducting user research while selecting appropriate methodologies to inform your design.
  • An online portfolio of case studies that demonstrates unfailing advocacy for the user, highlighting: e-commerce design work, mobile design work, data-driven approach, and strategic thinking.
