The role

We are seeking an experienced Product Operations / Project Team Lead for Youfoodz who will work closely with our Product Strategy, Retail and Operations teams to assess, develop, launch and plan the products that will underpin the next stages of our growth. You have a passion for driving product improvement using product and customer insights and a proven experience in using data to craft our Product Operations strategy and roadmap.

What you’ll do

Lead the Product Operations team in the formulation and operationalisation of the annual strategy and roadmap to improve the quality and market fit of our product. 

  • Drive the improvement of our Youfoodz product, liaising with the Customer Insights, Operations, Menu Planning and Culinary teams. Lead complex cross-functional product implementation, bringing Finance, Marketing, Operations, Technical, Procurement together to make sure that ideas are well executed and impact both the top and bottom line. 
  • Use performance data to strategically prioritise Product and Operations teams workflow and ensure teams have access to correct information, and analyses, to drive key product development and improvement decisions. 
  • Deliver data-driven new product development, existing product development and menus that meet our product and customer goals within COGs and operational capacity guidelines. ● Translate product strategy and insights into a detailed product brief for the Development Chefs that considers budget, operational constraints, ingredient seasonality, customer insights, and trends. 
  • Lead a team to manage the end-to-end Menu Development process while working closely with our Technical team in the NPD stage gate process to ensure timely product launches
What you’ll bring
  • 3+ years of project management experience,  preferably in food (but not a must)
  • Able to influence, drive alignment among a diverse set of stakeholders, lead and motivate to deliver on longer term projects as well as day to day operations
  • Have strong up and downward management skills  with clear communication
  • Have a “roll up sleeves” attitude to entering workstreams and getting them over the line 
  • Quantitative and analytical experience, including solid comfort with Excel
  • Proactive, ambitious, and assertive: you take ownership of your work
  • Entrepreneurial and can make things happen
  • Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period
