We are seeking a Program Manager (Product Delivery) to join our PMO team and own program and project management efforts for specified business unit(s). This individual will be responsible for planning, and consistent execution within a budget and with minimal disruptions. The Program Manager will report to the VP of Program Management. This role reports to the Vice President, Program Management, and is based remotely across Canada and/or the Eastern United States (in accordance with Hootsuite's local employment entities).

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Program Planning:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines for each priority.
  • Promote communication across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment during the planning phase.
  • Continuously review and adjust plans as needed to accommodate changes in scope, resources, or priorities.

Program Execution:

  • Implement a 'two-week sprint' mentality and schedule, promoting agile project management methodologies within the team.Monitor progress and recommend changes to execution strategies as needed to overcome obstacles and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Facilitate regular check-ins and updates with stakeholders to maintain alignment and visibility throughout the project lifecycle.

Governance:

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established governance policies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to team members in the adoption of best practices for planning and execution.

Launch Operations Partnership:

  • Support the Launch Program area to implement strategies for seamless integration of projects into launch operations. 
  • Share insights and lessons learned from previous projects to improve overall delivery processes.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze relevant data and recommend  improvement within projects.
  • Develop and present regular reports highlighting key insights and providing actionable recommendations for course correction for projects within and across the program area.
  • Provide regular updates on progress, risks and challenges to a wide group of stakeholders across the CTO/CPO team. 

Resource Allocation and Capacity Tracking:

  • Monitor resource utilization and capacity within the assigned area, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks and adjusting allocations as needed.
  • Collaborate with leadership to prioritize projects and allocate resources based on business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain tools and processes for tracking resource availability, commitments, and overall capacity.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or related discipline
  • Extensive relevant experience required to include at least 1 year of management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile portfolio, program and project management best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills with ability to multi-task
  • Current Scaled Agile, Scrum Master or Project Management certification required.
  • Pursuing advanced Project Management certifications a plus (CSP, ACP, SA, PMP).
  • Strong communication ability, verbally and written, with both management and technical audiences at all levels.
  • Ability to work with global teams required.
  • Experience with project management tooling (Atlassian Suite, Aha!, Slack).
  • Strategic thinking required.
  • Thought leadership required.

Canada Pay Range For This Role$100,700—$141,100 CADUS Pay Range For This Role$130,000—$182,000 USD
