SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...

In this role, you'll be responsible for producing eye-catching and effective creative designs across onsite experiences like events, as well as digital platforms, campaigns, web, and video to meet the needs and requirements of key stakeholders across the business. You’ll work closely with colleagues in marketing, line of business owners, product teams, sales, and engineering to create compelling designs and content for Pure Storage.

Key Responsibilities - 

  • Collaborate with teams across the company. You'll be responsible for understanding the needs of different organizations from a visual design perspective, participating in creative briefs, review meetings, and providing status updates on various assets, ensuring smooth, on-time delivery.
  • Understand our product offerings and be able to design against Pure Storage solutions effectively because you’ve learned about our differentiators and understand how they bring value to customer’s businesses.
  • Be the de facto leader under our Creative Director when CD is on other projects or unavailable, capable of art directing other creative team members
  • Understanding of video production and editing, as well as the ability to manage multiple video projects, make proactive decisions around resourcing, as well as guide and support video staff
  • Working with our PMs, writers, and designers in the Creative Studio, you'll be responsible for developing creative campaign assets for the web and blogs; as well as wireframes, and mockups.
  • Working closely with our UX designer to create simple and beautiful design solutions, iterate on designs based on user feedback and business needs.
  • Advocate for prioritization of changes, refinements, and improvements to the user experience.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

Qualifications - 

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience as an Art Director or Senior Art Director at a tech company, agency, or related experience
  • Experience managing at least 2-3 people, although this role currently does not have direct reports the right candidate will have experience in a leadership role so that they can step in to lead team members when needed
  • Expertise in design, video, and animation tools including Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Final Cut Pro
  • Experience working with AEM and Wordpress
  • A passion for meaningful design systems and solutions, and expertise in design principles: color, typography, layout, guidelines, and conceptual skills
  • Regular and effective management of submitting PRs, POs, and keeping up-to-date monthly and quarterly budgets in tools like NetSuite and Allocadia
  • Established relationships with quality freelance designers and agencies to recommend and leverage
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
  • Account for challenges using problem-solving skills and seek to optimize based on data for the best possible outcome
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization to create a collaborative, high-performing environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and relentless attention to detail

You will be based in Santa Clara, CA. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.

The annual base salary range is: $127,000 – $191,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
