That’s where OVO Drive comes in, it's our dedicated electric vehicle business. We already provide hardware installations, home & public charging but we want so much more, we want to build a single app experience that covers everything an EV driver could need this role will play a huge part in that.

We work like a start up- using our entrepreneurial, OVO Way spirit to drive us forward. And we’ll be flexible about how we do it - trying new things, growing the ones that work and learning new, green skills as we go.

 

This role in a nutshell:

Sitting in the OVO Drive business this role will manage the Charge Anytime proposition from end to end. This includes modelling the financials, managing and launching new features and generally growing the proposition. We want Charge Anytime to be the number 1 EV charging proposition for EV drivers.

 

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Build and maintain the Charge Anytime budget. 
  • Be responsible for the commercial performance of Charge Anytime.
  • Lead and own the end to end go to market strategy.
  • Own the business and customer economics, creating attractive propositions that drive significant growth in line with forecasts.
  • Own [in partnership with the finance business partner] the weekly/monthly reporting, including P&L performance vs budget and a detailed understanding of unit economics
  • Work extremely closely with the energy pricing and market design teams to ensure the economics are in line with business expectations, making adjustments where necessary. 
  • Work with our Kaluza Flex colleagues and OVO data teams to ensure robust data requirements are met.
  • Take responsibility for managing and developing relationships with existing and new partners in the electric vehicle space.
  • Work closely with the product and tech teams to create the customer journeys required to drive scale and profitability.
  • Evaluate and own risks, challenges and opportunities, making recommendations on future strategy.
  • Engage with the policy and public affairs team, staying abreast of relevant policy consultations and decisions that help us adapt to the environment in which we operate.
  • Work with Kaluza Flex colleague on new technological advancements and customer experience improvements to the Charge Anytime proposition.
  • Responsible for commercial decision making on legacy products such as V2G (in consultation with OVO leadership) 
  • Represent OVO at external industry events to help build it’s profile and reputation as a tech leader in this space.

 

You’ll be a successful Senior Commercial Manager Charge Anytime at OVO if you…

  • Experience in a startup, fast paced and tech based environment.
  • Experience of building business cases, forecasting and budgeting.
  • A deep knowledge of the energy, and electric vehicle sectors is preferred.
  • Have previously worked within the energy tariff space.
  • Have experience and skills in data reporting, having worked within Big Qeury and Tableau would be a huge advantage.
  • Experience developing commercial partnerships across a broad range of industries, including building models for potential partnerships, negotiating contracts, and developing relationships over time.
  • A track record of developing partnerships that include both commercial and marketing considerations.
  • Experience working with product development and technology teams is preferred.
  • Ideally have a sound technical knowledge of both hardware and software solutions relevant to electric vehicles.
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to engage audiences at senior exec and C suite level.
  • Effective networking skills.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to see the bigger picture and deliver at pace.
  • Able to operate at a high level independently.
  • Skilled at writing with an ability to explain complex topics and issues in a way that is accessible to a wide range of audiences. 
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to plans and able to respond confidently and positively to changing scenarios.

We’ll pay you between £59,690 - 78,790, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
