The role

The International Sustainability team, located at HelloFresh headquarters in Berlin, is looking for a new Senior ESG Data and Reporting Manager. The International Sustainability team oversees all strategic sustainability topics for HelloFresh Group and works in close partnership with our 18 markets to realise the company's sustainability vision. 

The successful candidate will be part of our ESG Reporting pillar and will be responsible for direct report management as well. The core focus of this role will be curating the Annual Non-Financial Report for the HelloFresh Group, further developing the ESG Data landscape, as well as quarterly updates to C-Level and external ESG Supervisory Board.You will prepare the company's processes and capabilities to meet the needs of the upcoming European Union CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, applicable as of 2024)  and prepare the Sustainability Statement ensuring compliance with the external reporting regulations. 

This position offers employment on a 12-month contract basis with the potential for extension.

What you’ll do
  • Manage the implementation, preparation and assurance with external auditors  of the HelloFresh Group Sustainability Statements in compliance with the CSRD 
  • Manage timeline and milestones of the Non-Financial Report 2023 preparation and external assurance
  • Lead coordination of the evidence collection during annual audit period between auditor and HelloFresh Group stakeholders
  • Analyse and implement existing and upcoming external national and international sustainability disclosure requirements such as CSRD-compliance (including EU Taxonomy) as of 2024 
  • Develop interpretations and guidance for compliance with CSRD standards and support implementation of compliance measures and policies according to the new requirements across ESG topics and stakeholders
  • Consult ESG stakeholders on ESG data tracking, data consistency and streamline processes
  • Provide ESG topic leads and other stakeholders with guidance on quantitative and quantitative data collection and validate the correctness of the data collection  
  • Oversee regular non-financial risk assessments and update the annual CSRD-compliant Double Materiality assessment 
  • Be responsible for managing stakeholder engagement across ESG topics, Financial Department, Tech teams, Investor relations, Public relations, Brand and communications
What you’ll bring
  • Postgraduate education in sustainability, environmental science, accounting, finance, business administration or management (or other related fields)
  • 5+ years experience working in ESG / Sustainability Reporting or Audit / External Assurance 
  • Exceptional project management skills and previous experience managing direct reports with a transformational leadership mindset
  • Strong understanding of International and German Non-Financial reporting regulations and practices (NFRD, CSRD, TCFD, EU Taxonomy)
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and senior management engagement experience with an internal client management mindset
  • Strong interest in working with large datasets or data visualization tools like Tableau
  • Exceptional organizational skills with proven experience working globally across time zones/cultures
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal english communication skills
  • German Language skills are a plus but not a prerequisite
