At Twilio, we support diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

We are looking for a dynamic professional who’s well-versed in the world of Talent Management and specializes in Career Development and Career Architecture. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our organization's approach to career growth.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Career Architecture: You will be instrumental in defining the framework for our employees' career journeys. This includes crafting the structures and pathways that align with our company's goals to enable employee progression and growth. This includes in-depth knowledge of Career Development Frameworks (CDFs), competencies, and skills.
  • Development Philosophy: As a strategic thinker, you’ll play a critical role in formulating a development philosophy that fosters a culture of continuous learning and growth. This philosophy will guide how we invest in our employees' professional development.
  • Program Design: Based on determined needs, you’ll partner with the Program Manager, Career Development, a direct report, to the programs that help Twilions build meaningful careers.  Design includes establishing purpose, creating resources, enabling participants and measuring success.
  • HR Business Partner (HRBP) Liaison: You’ll collaborate closely with our HRBPs to ensure seamless integration of career development and management strategies with broader HR initiatives. You play an integral role in relationship building with this key group of stakeholders.
  • Skill Gap Analysis: You will be responsible for establishing the process and mechanisms for Twilio to evaluate the current skills in the organization against what is required to deliver against our objectives.  You will partner closely with other members of the People team to identify solutions to bridge any identified gaps.
  • Enablement Subject Matter Expert (SME): You bring extensive experience in and knowledge around driving knowledge and enablement initiatives deep within an organization. You’ll create robust enablement strategies and tools to ensure that our workforce is well-equipped to excel.
  • Storytelling/Strategic Communications: As the leader of the Career Development workstream, you will design and deliver Twilio’s narrative around career development, tailoring it to the appropriate audience to elicit action.
