✅The Role

In the role of Senior Manager, Pricing Operations, your primary responsibility will be to drive and implement strategic pricing initiatives that maximize revenue and guarantee long-term profitability. 

This position demands a highly experienced individual who possesses in-depth knowledge of identifying pricing patterns, implementing efficient tools, and promoting collaboration across various departments. 

Additionally, you will be accountable for delivering executive-level reports on critical performance metrics pertaining to customers and pricing strategies. 

This position will report to the Director of Customer Insights & pricing under the Customer Success Function.

 

✅Responsibilities and Duties

Analyzing Pricing Trends and Optimizing Price levels:

  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify patterns in pricing, competitor strategies, and areas that require adjustments.
  • Regularly assess market 

Creating and Managing Price Lists:

  • Develop comprehensive and accurate price lists for our products/services.
  • Collaborate closely with product and sales teams to align pricing with market positioning.

Annual Price Increases and Advanced Calculators:

  • Lead the planning and execution of annual price increases, considering market conditions and business objectives.
  • Create sophisticated calculators that support transparent decision-making based on data analysis.

Implementing Pricing Tools & Software Solutions:

  • Evaluate, select, and implement state-of-the-art tools/software for effective pricing management, enhancing operational efficiency while ensuring compliance.
  • Provide training sessions to relevant teams on how to effectively utilize these technologies.

Managing Discounts, Promotions, & Incentives:

  • Formulate strategies for managing discounts, promotions, and incentives aimed at boosting sales without compromising profitability.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to maintain alignment between promotional activities and overall business strategies.

Preventing Pricing Discrepancies:

  • Establish clear pricing policies with strict enforcement measures in place, to prevent inconsistencies or unauthorized deviations from established guidelines.
  • Perform regular audits and take corrective actions to maintain integrity within our pricing structure.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Promote a culture of collaboration by working closely with product, sales, marketing, and finance teams to enforce alignment between price strategies and overall corporate objectives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making across all departments.
Executive-Level Reporting & Dashboarding:
  • Create comprehensive executive reports on customer-related metrics and influential factors affecting price points.
  • Offer strategic input to senior management based on rigorous data analysis.
  • Design, maintain, and utilize dashboards with real-time visibility into vital pricing metrics and performance indicators.
  • Utilize these dashboards as a tool for data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Pricing Training & Education

  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance pricing knowledge across the whole organization.
  • Ensure that all teams are equipped with the necessary skills to understand and implement pricing strategies effectively.

 

✅Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field with 6+ years of experience in Pricing; Data science certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in pricing operations or related roles.
  • Proficient in managing & maintaining SaaS pricing models.
  • Strong grasp of value-based pricing concepts & implementation experience.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and pricing software.
  • Outstanding analytical and presentation aptitude.
  • Advanced in MS Excel and adept at creating Tableau/Power BI dashboards.
  • Skilled in navigating complex, cross-functional business settings.
  • Thrives in dynamic, ambiguous situations.
