Toast is looking for a Senior Technology Manager to advance the systems and processes supporting Toast Hardware, a critical piece of our customer experience. In this role you will work closely with our New Product Introduction, Quality, and Hardware Product and Operations teams to plan, design, and build solutions that support our Hardware Product Lifecycle focus area. As the Technical leader accountable for this area, you will work closely with your Product Leader and the Enterprise Architecture team to build scalable solutions that solve critical business problems, delivering with both pace and high quality to drive meaningful improvement to our internal team experience. As an expert on Product Lifecycle platforms and how critical product data flows in business critical applications, you will lead and support your technical delivery team to enable completion of the roadmap. About this roll* (Responsibilities)

  • Lead the development resources to create solutions meeting requirements as defined by Product owners, operating in an agile working model
  • Own the develop and scoping process for products supporting internal Toasters in our Product Lifecycle Management focus area, operating as the the accountable execution leader for this critical area of Toast infrastructure
  • Directly configure and customize the selected PLM/Master data platforms and tools to satisfy business needs, along with developing and deploying necessary integrations to enable a signal source of truth for Product information
  • Effectively communicate Product lifecycle concepts and solutions to all levels of the organization and project team, including facilitation of decision-making and consensus building processes
  • Provides leadership over platform standards and performance as it pertains to solution design, deployment and steady-state, along with overall integration of processes impacting the Product Lifecycle focus area
  • Build strong relationships with engineering and design counterparts and work with them to translate business requirements into technical requirements, making trade-off recommendations that deliver maximum value to the business as quickly as possible  
  • This role is fully remote with <10% Travel required as needed to see Operations in-situ, both Domestic and International

 

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • 8+ years of implementing/maintaining Product Lifecycle Management and/or Master Data Management systems
  • Experience with Agile/ Agile Scrum using JIRA
  • Direct experience with 1 or multiple of the mid-market PLM solutions including but not limited to: Propel PLM, PTC Arena/Windchill, Aras/Innovator
  • Strong working knowledge of the overlap between Product Lifecycle Management, Data Hubs, ERP systems, eCommerce product catalogs and other external Supply Chain applications. 
  • Demonstrated experience of solving complex problems using a data-driven approach
  • Demonstrated ability to gather feedback, drive consensus and manage change in situations with high ambiguity 
  • Critical thinking capabilities to see beyond the initial problem presented
  • Architecture mindset with desire to understand how things are connected
  • Action-oriented, "ownership" mindset demonstrating willingness to accept accountability and responsibility for individual actions, and team results

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.Pay Range$119,000—$190,000 USD
