The Challenge

As a Senior UX Manager, you will lead a team of UX designers to create lovable user experiences for our software products. In addition, you will work closely with cross-functional counterparts to ensure that our software meets the needs of our customers. 

Your Mission
  • Help establish overall direction for the UX team.   

  • Manage and mentor a team of full-stack UX designers to deliver usable and lovable experiences in the product.  

  • Lead your team to develop and implement design strategies and solutions that meet business goals and user needs.  

  • Establish and maintain a clear and transparent communication channel with all remit counterparts to regularly update them on the status, progress, blockers, and prioritization of the UX roadmap.  

  • Look for opportunities in and outside of the product to help customers.  

  • Evangelize the adoption of and contribution to the design system across your teams, driving a culture of consistency and collaboration.  

  • Develop and implement measurement strategies to track the impact and success of work released by your team.   

  • Work with other UX managers to align on initiatives, experience vision, and overlapping workstreams.  

  • Continuously assess your customer's health and usability of product areas.  

  • Drive the UX roadmap for your remit and UX team.  

  • Present ideas and process improvements at the product All-hands.  

  • Recruit and interview candidates.  

  • Continually meet with your design team to discuss, collaborate, and define patterns and research practices.   

  • Participate in product planning and share UX backlogs to help your team prepare for upcoming work.  

  • Provide thought leadership and stay current on emerging UX design trends, tools, and techniques.  

  • Ensure UX designers write thoughtful, contextual copy that guides users through the experience.  

  • Conduct independent research to understand customer needs and plan for the future of your product areas.  

  • Advocate and evangelize UX processes across stakeholder touchpoints.   

  • Own third-party vendor relationships that provide UX designers the tools necessary to complete work.  

  • Work with a Content Strategist to set content priorities for your team. 

You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or a related field.  

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 6 years of experience creating B2B products. 

  • You are passionate about re-imagining an existing product but have also mastered strategic partnership. 

  • You can share a proven aptitude for UX design and strategy. 

  • You can energize those around you to take calculated risks that help customers. 

  • Experience working in an agile software development environment. 

  • You have experience building SaaS products. 

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. 

  • 6+ years of experience managing and mentoring full-stack UX designers. 

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and practices. 

  • Experience conducting user research and usability studies. 

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Maze, or similar. 

  • Knowledge of privacy and information security.  

  • You have experience working within WCAG 2.1 AA standards. 

 

For California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, and Washington-based candidates: the annual base pay range for this role is listed below. Within this range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including location, job-related skills, work experience, and relevant education and/or training. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, equity, and/or commissions, as well as benefits.

Salary Range$156,600—$208,775 USDBenefits
