Opportunity Statement

We are seeking an experienced Senior Industry Product Marketing Manager to join our dynamic Product Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be deeply immersed in some of our target verticals or have the ability to quickly develop a strong industry perspective and a profound understanding of our target market. This role is pivotal in driving our product's market positioning and ensuring our messaging resonates strongly with specific industry challenges and needs.

The ideal candidate will need to develop an understanding of Ivalua’s product and key buyers and personas in order to craft messages that will resonate with them. In this role, they will be expected to:

  • Drive market success of the targeted industry with a strong GTM strategy, compelling messaging, differentiated positioning, and relevant value propositions
  • Drive demand through strategic marketing plans that cement industry authority, build brand awareness, and drive pipeline growth
  • Drive sales success by developing content needed to support the industry customer journey and sales cycle, such as use cases, pitch decks, customer stories, and other customer and sales-facing content

Approximately 20-30% travel should be expected to meet with regional sales and to attend internal meetings, offsites, and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Buyer Persona Expertise - Developing a comprehensive understanding of our industry buyer personas and tailoring marketing strategies, content, and sales plays to meet their unique needs and preferences
  • Content Creation - Creating relevant and engaging content to support the buyer's journey
  • Value-Based Positioning - Understanding and communicating Ivalua’s offerings in terms of features, capabilities, differentiators, benefits, value generated, competitive landscape, and audience
  • Industry Language Proficiency - Demonstrating fluency in the industry’s specific jargon, abbreviations, and business functions, ensuring communication is both relevant and engaging to our target audience
  • Targeted Messaging - Crafting and delivering messaging that addresses the unique challenges and situations of our industry. Being the guardian of relevance, ensuring all communications and content deeply resonate with the target audience

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in product marketing, preferably in the source-to-pay or spend management space
  • Communication and presentation skills with an ability to simplify messaging, articulate well and overall tell a compelling and engaging story
  • Natural collaboration skills and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Ability to interpret industry trends and customer insights into effective sales and marketing strategies
  • Comfort talking about technology and translating it into concepts that are easily understood
  • Excellent team collaboration and accountability skills
  • Strong proficiency in Powerpoint, Excel and/or G-suite

The salary range for this position is based upon careful and continual market compensation research. In addition to location, salary may also vary based upon job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Title: Sr Product Marketing Manager

Base range minimum: $108,750

Base range maximum: $181,250

Additional compensation/rewards: Ivalua offers an annual target bonus for this position conditional on individual and company performance. Other compensation factors may also be considered. Ivalua also offers exceptional benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement (with company match), and much more.
