Determine and deliver optimal liquidity for customers in a cost-effective, robust, and scalable manner. Work across a variety of cloud services mixing data engineering, software engineering, and knowledge of machine learning deployments. Develop foundational low-latency ETL pipelines to power real-time machine learning use cases and generalize them to enable their use program-wide. Provide technical leadership for the data architecture that powers high-throughput, low-latency (micro)services that drive optimized decision-making at scale. Participate in the software development lifecycle - from product requirements to design decisions, and delivery on operational excellence. Work with teams across the organization, including product, design, marketing, integrations, ops, customer success, legal and more. Own your solution, from design to productionization, ensuring the best experience for Ripple’s customers in how they interact with solutions. Raise standard of engineering excellence by implementing and driving best practices for coding, testing, and deployment. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more but less than 100% per week within same geographic location as assigned office location.

40 hrs./week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field plus (5) five years of post-baccalaureate progressive of hands-on data platform experience on large scale distributed systems or a Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field plus (3) three years of hands-on data platform experience on large scale distributed systems.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in all of the following: 

  • Building and deploying data solutions into modern distributed computing environments including Kubernetes;
  • Using data warehouse architecture to optimize the way customer-facing problems are solved;
  • Managing data pipelines from transactional systems into scalable data stores and other cloud data services that manage large, structured event data sources including tick data; and, 
  • Working with Agile development of distributed services, focusing on robust data system design, scalability, and security. 

Of the required experience must have 3 years of experience working in the following: 

  • GCP, AWS or Azure; 
  • SQL; and
  • Python or Java.

For positions that will be based in NY, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions. NY Annual Base Salary Range$168,854—$169,154 USD
