The Tulip Embedded team focuses on development of the Tulip OS. The group maintains and supports bootloader, kernel, and userspace development for Tulip Hardware (Edge MC, and Edge IO) and beyond. 

 

About you:

  • Designed your own hardware and enjoy writing code for it
  • Designed and built embedded systems (MCU or Linux)
  • Built product and you enjoy seeing people use it daily

 

What skills do I need?

  • Experience with a systems language (i.e., C, C++, Rust)
  • Experience with shell scripting and command line environments
  • Interest or experience in an OS build system (Yocto, Buildroot, Android)
  • Familiarity with an interpreted language (eg, Javascript, Elixir, Python)
  • Familiarity with common hardware buses and devices (eg, I2C, SPI, PCIE)
  • Bias for action and impact

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and add bootloader and kernel patches on Tulip hardware
  • Code and integrate Tulip software into the Tulip OS
  • Port the Tulip OS to other hardware targets
  • Maintain and support OS toolchain and versioning

  • Hardware and Software engineers on the Hardware team

  • Product Management
