Pure is focused on combining the latest hardware technology with software to deliver data management and infrastructure to our customers with a hassle-free service experience. Our tech stack varies from low level hardware to the cloud. As a Software Engineer Grad, you’ll solve real problems that require research, investigation and development on: 

  • Finding duplicate data, reclaiming overwritten space in petabytes of storage
  • Efficient replication across wide-area networks
  • Analytics for health data coming from tens of thousands of customer storage arrays
  • Understanding how applications use flash and how to optimize the whole stack (from application to SSD)
  • Making code scale to 32 core or more
  • Simple, yet powerful user interface
  • Sharp tools which allow us to ship new features quickly
  • Extensive automated testing pre-check-in and post-check-in

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field with agraduation date no earlier than December 2023
  • Dexterity in C++ programming language required, and at least 1 other of the following preferred: C, Python, or Go
  • Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
  • Experience or knowledge in any number of related systems software projects are a plus, e.g.: Distributed systems, Operating systems, Linux Kernel, Database internals, Hypervisors, Containers, Compiler Optimization, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Initiative to meet deadlines and deliver high quality results without supervision 
  • Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment.
  • Expected to start full-time in 2024 (Spring, Summer, or Fall)

**NOTE: The interviewing process for this role will formally begin November 2023.

The annual base salary range is: $113,000 – $170,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

You will be based in Santa Clara. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
